Right now I'm chopping veggies for a beef stew. I'm a pretty good cook, next to italian meatballs that'll knock your pants off, this is one of my best dishes.

Can you cook? Do you cook? What's your best dish? If it's not plain easy mac, what's your secret? (CFCOT won't tell ;))

I can, but I don't. What's the need, when cook we employ can do the job quite nicely, under the supervision of my grandmother (a total veteran herself)?

As for my best dish -there are many, but I make nice khichadi.

I can....make a toast. But it has melted cheese in it!

My woman is in a culinary arts program at college. :)

Yes, I can. It's my job.

I'm not really sure what my "best dish" is, that's not really for me to decide at any rate.

I don't make anything fancy or complicated, just steaks, chicken, pasta, burgers, a few caseroles, stuffed bell peppers, just simple things that I like to eat.

When I think about it, my chicken and broccoli alfredo manages to get a lot of compliments.

Melted cheese is great. That's an awesome obsession.

I can cook a mean pot of spaghetti. And pancakes. Thats about where my limitations are.

I do all the cooking in my household, don't really know if I have a speciality, except maybe a bit of a talent for going through the cupboards and improvising from whatever I can find.

I can and do cook. Yesterday I made a pot roast. Next saturday is leg of lamb again. I cook maybe 5 days a week. Mostly just random mundane things.

I can make spaghetti that would knock your socks off, enchiladas that would make your momma cry in shame, lemon pepper chicken that is better than finger lickin good, and chicken tacos that make taco bell look like a joke.

Oh and I can cook a steak that would make cows turn to cannibalism

Spaghetti Bolognaise. No secret, just don't use sugar or it tastes like crap. Fresh herbs are better than dried.

I'm not bad I suppose for a lazy guy.

I worked in a french restaurant for four years, so I can say my cooking skills and knowledge are fair. But the truth is I hate cooking, so I don't have much opportunities to display my skills

Cooking's easy. It's just time consuming and not much fun.

I'm always surprised by people who say that. Sure, some things aren't fun, but I really enjoy making a cake or soup or something.

Any particularly interesting improvisations you'd care to share?

And to be honest i cant cook at all :(

It's so much better for everyone involved when somebody knows and admits that than when they try and fail! :goodjob:

Taco bell is a joke! But what's better than finger lickin? Finger gnawin?

I can fry catfish, other than that I've never had to actually cook for myself, so I've never been given much of an opportunity to experiment. Basically I cut the catfish into thin fillets, then cook them in a batter of crumbled crackers.

A well-marinated flank steak is my love and joy. I also make a mean roasted red pepper sauce to go with chicken.

I made some nice chicken once using a marinade based on jerk seasoning and yoghurt. Unfortunately, I never have the sense to write it down when something works out.
