I am not a newbie since I have been a member for over a year I just chose to not post for half that time...

I think this thread is just supposed to be a joke, which fits in nice with the title of the forum. Anyway now everyone vote for me! Muhahaha...

Is Grantham in the centre of a time warp, because last December is not "over a year" ago? Scorch isn't a newbie either, but he's most definitely a spambie so you're not alone. Besides, the term newbie is a pointless one, at least as far as I'm concerned, as the fact that you have an enormous postcount or have been here for ages does not mean that your posts are worth reading. Starlifter though, joined after me, has 3x my post count and the Civ 2 Strategy and Tips section should really just be renamed "Ask starlifter".

I'll definitely have to agree with you. I joined the same mth he did and he got 6 times my postcount. This guy seems to have such an enormous amount of free time to be able to put in all those quality thesis-like posts. Maybe we can consolidate his strat postings into a book and sell it as "Advanced Strategies for Civ 2"?

I hardly know who everyone on that list is except for AoA and Matrix. While AoA does long winded posts with extreme use of the /quote command I would find it hard to call that spamming. Polls like is one are borderline spam but do not equal some of the past, tongue in cheek, 'greats'.
You want real contenders add HARDMAN, MIG21, and Stellar Converter(towards the end of his CFC citizenship). I'm sure alot of the old timers with vote for them, if they even bother coming to this thread
