AVN, answer your questions yourself. Simply read the part above that you did not quote.

Only the first part of my post was a question. The other parts where comments which I liked to discuss with you. And the part I didn't quote (but understand) is IMO contradicting the point I asked the question about.

Do you still have problems or do you want me to type till my fingers bleed?

You have clarified your position/opinion in your reply to Winner's post.

If you consider Czechia backward and consider Winner a racist because he supports that Turkey will join the EU (a comment which doesn't make sense at all to me) then I consider further discussion with you regarding this topic a waste of time. So further clarfication is not necessary.

I'm sorry then Winner, I saws the line about the Marshall Plan and then you saying that your country diden't want to money, my bad.

I've never backed everything my nation did through History. Unlike some Americans maybe.

Very true, mabey if we spent less time on how women in feudalistic japan were descriminated against and more time on American history in our highschools that could change ;)

And lord help us they put the PS2 controller down and read a book.

I'm just trying to get your reasoning down, and pointing out that France was for the creation of Israel yet you don't approve of it leads me to ask why.

I wasen't trying to insault you, just point out that yes, France is partially responsable for the creation of the state.

Oh and :scan: right back at you.

I don't understand it either, maybe he is confusing me with someone else. I've supported Turkey's membership in this threat (not so much, but still) all the time, so it is beyond my comprehension ;)

Errr... I don't know if I have something to reply on or not ? Is the point done ? I answered you and I didn't feel insulted.

I'm not sure if creating the nation of Israel after WWII was the right idea or not. What I'm sure of is that it wasn't done properly. European nations like France and England are partly responsible for that, and the USA as well.

If I were to back up everything my country did, I would a stupid patriotic sheep. I have my opinions, open to evolving, and sometimes they meet what my country does, and sometimes not. It appears France did a lot of stupid things after WWII (Indochina, Algeria, Israel (?), etc...). If I disagree with it, I can think of why, and come up with better ideas, otherwise I stay the same stupid patriotic sheep that will never listen to critics. I hope many Americans can learn from the errors made in Iraq one day. ;) Is this anti-Americanism ? No.

As for Israel, I don't know what the best solution was, back in 1947. Yet I feel that it wasn't done in a nice way, and so that's why I think France played it poorly in 1947. Not to mention the UN. :(

I found this fun picture on the intarweb, just wanted to see what the EU citizens feelings are on what it represents:

Let me add my thoughts to the discussion as a Turk;

I'm not sure if I want my country to be a part of EU.

And the reason is simple; I don't trust EU.

Why? ;) Let's see if the arguments are the same as they were in case of CZ accession in june ;)

What ? The Czech Republic hesitated to become a member of the great EU ?
You should be happy we accepted your country. ;)

And otherwise I don't see a problem if the CZ leaves the EU ;)

Of course, about 1/3 is still against EU, mainly opposition is very, VERY, eurosceptic. And our president is king of all eurosceptics ;)

BTW yes, I know you were joking ;)

While it's kinda hard to tell, I think it's a mistake - for Turkey.
