Who would be interested in DoC RAND?

I wish to make Hotseat possible for DoC. I'm not sure if this is what 1SDAN means, or the simultaneous turns for human players one, but I agree that it'd be really nice to have a multiplayer mode! I'm aware, though, of the current limitations of the mod, in which large portions of the code revolves around its single-player nature, so implementing stuff like this would be tons of work. But I hope it can be done in the future (not necessarily near)

I preferred turn based over simultaneous play in just about every Civ game. It both gives more time to strategize and reduces issues arising out of the asequential order of gameplay. I'd be fine with only getting Hotseat. Is there such a thing as sequential online play? I haven't ever really played Civ 4 online.

No. You can just start a regular online or lan game. In the setup screen there's a setting for simultaneous turns. If it isn't checked off, turns are sequential.
