When did the Brits successfully invade France?
British didnt invade France lands for a ba purpose in 1944..Their purpose was to dismiss German from French lands..They were on the same side against Germany..1944.

I think you mixed up the French and the Brits there.Over here maybe we inherited some dislike off the British. We don't really hate them but theres alot of stereotypes about French arrogance

Ballsy thing to do [/respect]
i spent a lot of time in paris when i was a little kid, we have family there. as a kid i don't remember anything awful at all, and most people, especially in the countryside were really nice. my parents hate parisians though.
When did the Brits successfully invade France?
Yes, but at the time they were still part French. But after they got corrupted, did they succeed again?tried to settle for Aquitaine.
To their credit, they hung to their French territory quite well.

But it was a violation of New Zealand's sovereignty. Though I'm not sure if that's the main point of Nobody's objections?
Thats the main reason i don't like it, they acted like some gangster taking out a hit out our restaurant.
The other big thing is, like green peace or not they were just going to protest, France was testing weapons of mass destruction, and the killed them for expressing there right to freedom of speach.
Hi everyone!
I've always wondered if there's a country in the western civilization whose people (I say people and no diplomacy in order to be understood) has not a historic hatred to the french. I've never heard about a country in the west whose people gets well with the French. Why do we do so? Are they a bunch of fags? Are we stupid? Is hatred to the french people a common characteristic of the western civ (with the exception of the french themselves)?
I would dispute whether or not France is most hated, but a lot of the dislike of France, in America, stems from two major events. The first was when the French attempted to interfere in our making peace with the British at the end of the American Revolution. The French wanted to the war to continue for selfish reasons and caused us a lot of trouble. The second was the surrender of the French during World War II. It was, and in some circles, still is believed that the surrender took place simply to save Paris from destruction. Regardless, our men (all Allies) died fighting the Vichy French and the Germans, using the land and resources that was surrendered to them.
I think that this cliché is not a "baseless accusation" since it's spreaded enough to recongize that is not something from my imagination. Btw, I've never watched Fox News (it's quite hard to do in Catalonia).
PS: Thanks for the award! I'm da numba 1![]()
So, you would be happier if several thousands hundreds more French had been killed, Paris destroyed, and the Germans win in September 1940 instead of June? Because there was no way for the French to win in June 1940.The second was the surrender of the French during World War II. It was, and in some circles, still is believed that the surrender took place simply to save Paris from destruction.
Me too!
