Why I hate Khan

Russia is my current most hated. They won't trade fairly compared to other AIs, and the minute I have a tech they don't have, I get a demand from ugly old broad Catherine. Refuse, get an unwanted war, or give it up and she trades it, giving you no profit. They get Literature early and build the GLib in a hill city deep in their empire where it is hard to get to. They always end up way ahead in tech and its by backstabbing, bullying and being nasty.

Funny, I get exactly the same thing.

i don't like khan because he's a moody prick

fortunately, his insolence results in me bribing everyone to dogpile his sorry arse, every single time.

russia can be annoying too. catherine likes an excuse to declare war, with her pemanently annoyed expression.

when she does, her regular archers and warriors get demolished by my vet archers.

if i have vet horsemen or swordmen, she gets it back, 10x worse.

But he's been a member longer than I have. :p

Anyways, since this has been ressurected:

I have developed a new hatred for the Sumerians. They always go to war with me for no reason whatsoever. :crazyeye:

you think, Sparthage! in another forum I have seen they had started a thread with the title "Why I hate Sparthage" :D:D:D

Monty is right up there. Those Aztecs just can't keep their Jaguars to themselves. Something about an early 2-movement UU makes an AI go crazy.

But he is a newbie poster... only 16 posts and most of those in the last couple of days.

And this is a fave discussion around here. Re: Sumerians... I won't even play out a game if they are near my start. Can't live with 'em and can't kill 'em

Sumerians are definitely high on the list of civs that are hard to beat. The AI play well with Agri/Sci combo and those enkidus are so cheap they can spam legions of them.

That said, lately I have been hating the germans. I have started near them in 3 of my last 4 games and their high aggression and starting with archers/spears makes them come knocking on my door regularly.

What about Hiawatha of the Iroquis. They are always huge, advanced and have legions of cavalry. If he has at least average start and horses/iron he destroys everything in his path.

That's What I love about him :mischief:

:lol::lol:

My personal hatred goes to the Inca. They always jump out to a lead, and just obliterate.

Reminds me of that game where I had to share the smallest continent with the Zulu and the Inca got the largest continent all to themselves.

But I still won the game anyways.

Xerxes has seemed the most powerful ruler I've faced lately. I had some 35, three-cavalry armies, 19 rifles, 175 total cavalry, 57 native cannons, and I still came in weak to Persia in my ongoing game!

Perhaps they have legions and legions of longbows they are just waiting to unleash on you .

The opponent i hate the most is Babylon. Thanks to their traits, they always tend to become a cultural powerhouse so when it's their turn to be conquered the defection ratio of their cities is enormous.

Of course it's no tragedy. You just assume the city to flip back and place units in its outskirts, ready to retake it. Yet, the popup in the interturn informing you that city X has defected to your enemies blah blah blah is utterly annoying.

The Babylonians always seem to look at me wrong. And there's no love lost between me and Theodora of the Byzantines...
I try, but in the end, all her stuff ends up on the sidewalk.
