no, I really don't want to be near any religious buildings.

We claim the privelage of worshipping almighty God according to the dictates of our own conscience and allow all men that selfsame privilege. Let them worship how, where, or what they may.

i have a big problem with one near me, terrorist training camps is all they are

Ya gotta love this dude.

Mike Savage Jr. reporting for duuuuty!

In my town? Go ahead, no one will show up though.

Even if it was attended, I don't care.

I wouldn't mind. I would think morning prayers would be a good wake up call. That call is rather soothing actually. :D

Christianity professing love!? I'm pretty sure love is in the air when those abortion clinics blow up. Your religion is not of love. Islam is not a religion of hate. It is just a different spin to Christianity, just like Christianity is a different spin to Judaism.

Please, if I here the comparison of abortion clinics and genocide I am going to throw up.

While I am not religious in the slightest, there is a big difference between two or three fanatics blowing up an abortion clinic and years of persecution of non-Muslims in Muslim lands.

The abortion clinic argument is a farce and a joke.

How about hundreds of years of persecution of non-christians such as jews? Inquisition, witch trials, crusades? How easy we forget.

I used to have a mosque in my town, its a shame that it closed down, as it was quite a beautiful building. Of course the one I pass when I get a ride to school is much better, I'll try and find a picture.

Fine, I agree with you. But that was a long, long time ago. Christians are relatively peaceful now. We cannot say the same for Muslims.

The argument still stands that the abortion clinic comparison is phony.

PS--The crusades, according to many historians, might not have been a clear cut case of Christian persecution. A hot topic that should be discussed in another thread.

I wouldn't have any problems with it. In fact, I already live about 200m away from a Mormon church. So I have no problems living near religious buildings.

No, not at all. I am opposed any religious buildings in my neighborhood, but mosque is definitely the worst possible option.

Or do you really expect me to suffer their yelling 5 times a day, especially in the morning? I'd probably have to resort to terrorism to stop it

you do realize that many, if not most mosques in western countries abstain from using or even building a minaret?

anyway, no, I wouldn't mind a mosque near me at all, why should I?

There is a mosque in my neihberhood....whats the problem? I never hear them anyway unless I go up onto my terrace in the evening which is the only time I can hear them, and its not too loud so I don't really care. Incidenally there's also a Hindu temple in my neihberhood...
