I don't use it often enough to justify a subscription.

I've seen sites that have a 'lite' membership for free and a premium membership with full privileges. That might be a good way to go...the hardcore users would be willing to pay and the occasional users could generate revenue based on banner ads.

Question is kinda irrelevant only to the point when there hasn't been any new Sid Meier's Civilization games in the last 5 or 8 years.
