Of course he was anti-semitic ! Jews were his main enemy , for him they were like #1 bad guys. (something like terrorists for Americans) . Based on my knowledge about human psychology he couldn't have united Germany without a common enemy (which were the Jews of course). What's more - he wrote it himself that he hates Jews and wishes everyone one of them dead in "Mein Kampf" .If someone is saying that AH wasn't anti-semitic then that person shows serious historical ignorance and lack of knowledge of the facts. It's basicaly like saying that the salt is sweet.

Now that I think of it and as frightening as it is he really used to say he would Make Germany Great Again ! Those are the words we should consider an alert ! I am pretty sure he hadn't got any Jewish friends (espesially wealthy ones). After WW 1 most of the Germans were broke (that including Jews, which were just a tad little less broken than the others). After the "Great War" before meeting nazi people hitler was broken, poor, lonely and sad. If he had any wealthy friends he would turn to them for some help now wouldn't he ? Instead - failing to get any job - he turned to his old commander who gave him a job .... (and now he is probably turning in his grave a thousand times spitting on his beard and cursing every imaginable thing) yup he gave hitler a job infiltrating the ranks of (what he thought at the time) dangerous new radical group called NSDAP. Once inside to infiltrate and report he joined in instead and soaked all the hate talk they've got. His disapointment, regret, anger , (the insulting and enraging loss of one testicle during battle ) and authetical hatred for Jews made him a charismatic leader of that organization, not some wealthy (not to mention Jewish) banker behind the scenes. That is how AH (the dictator we all know and hate) slowly began his journey to the holocaust.

It's because people have this need to fit in and bandwagon so they're part of what they consider the in-crowd. The easiest way to get in with low-quality people is to find something they can agree you dislike together.

Of course Hitler was anti-semitic, for whatever reason only Jews and not Arabs as a whole became considered "Semites". Most of Europe had shades of anti-semitism, from the inquisition, forward. We were probably lucky a dope like Hitler took the reins, because a "better man", in that environment, might not have been defeated. Anyone with half a brain would have strengthened the air force instead of wasting resources on dumb rockets, and wouldn't have invaded Russia.

Thank God for creepy, narcissistic, mentally crippled, backstabbing, delusional Hitler.

I dont know about the "dumb rockets" part man After all V2's were truly a "wunderwaffe" at that period of time. Allies were all nuts trying to capture german scientists working on V2 project. Basically after the war it's the only thing that intelligence did (apart from looking for hidden treasure cache's of course). If only hitler would start working on rockets and jet propulsion earlier he would totally dominate the air. AFAIK world's first jet figther was german Me-262 "Die shwalbe".

that's part of the first stanza, and only the third stanza of the song is the national anthem, I think
at least it's the only one that's "allowed" to be sung

Wait, how is Germany bureaucracy oppressing Greece? By handing them money, hand over fist? Obligating them to become solvent so Greece isn't depreciating the Euro? Holding them to contractual agreements to maintain an austerity plan?

I don't get it. There's no buyout of Greece capital or surrender or property. There's not even some massive predatory loan situation going on. So because people give Greece money in an attempt to shore up net worth, anything other than allowing them to skate is "oppression"?

Maybe the USA is setting a bad example, with all the aid we send to Greece, both monetarily and militarily. They're getting too used to it and feel it's expected?

So I asked myself how I can post something meaningful, to claim that coveted spot. Then it hit me that I didn't know why this thread existed in the first place so I decided to ask the above question.
