I'm dating someone who is funny, and laughs at most of my jokes too. ;)

Only jokes she can't appreciate are offensive or tasteless ones (which I can appreciate in private) and black humor.

I also occasionally say something sexist just to rile her and get her to try to kick me.

Somebody funny. Spending alot of time with people who laugh at all my jokes can get very tiring, because Im always 'on' and peforming. Id rather be entertained for a change.

To me people who need someone to laugh at their jokes rather than soemone who's a blast sound slightly insecure? or is that just me, do you need affirmation of your comedic talent more than you need to enjoy yourself in someones company I wonder?

I just have more fun making others laugh than laughing.

Yes that's important but it's nice to have someone and something to talk to and about things and be enjoyable company when your not having sex, unless of course whilst having sex your partner is constantly laughing at you or making you laugh, which is not that uncommon ;)

I think this is minor issue everyone would like both if it was possible, one or the other is irelevant.

I don't really care is my girl laughs at my joke, my sense of humour is sometimes inappropriate, my joke are more to get a reaction from her than anything else, i want her to smack me not laugh;)! Being funny is a plus, but in the end, i find intellectual discussion more interesting than a bubblehead that can make me laugh. Do you know that laughing puts more stress on the spine than running?

I religously avoid running :) and I think the point is you want alot of different things from a relationship a single variable is pretty meaningless.

This question is pretty obviously "Are you selfish, or aren't you?"

I'd rather date someone who was always funny. I don't even like being funny all that much - I find there's a strange awkwardness when I say something funny and no one picks it up and makes their own joke. Being funny isn't very fulfilling without others who are as well.

Fear is the foundation of all comedy. Thats why we bare our teeth when laughing.

Actually mockery is too which is why chimpanzees bear their teeth when some idiotic compadre falls out of a tree, it's schardenfroider and the fear of fear which is the basis for humour, fear on it's own is the basis of hate. Thus homophobia or xenophobia.

No one can ever underestimate the breast factor, it is surprising that even as long as I have lived my vast age, that a nice wrack can still make all the difference to me. Am I shallow or just human?

Have you ever been in that situation where your talking to a womans breasts? And you just can't stop yourself no matter how hard you try:eek:

In the immortal words of The Simpsons :-

Could you kindly look at my face when your talking to me?

I've made my decision...

I read an article about female comdedians recently, who all say they have problems attarcting men because men always seem uneasy when a girl is funnier then thay are.

So I wouldn't trust the poll results on this one!;)

I have never known a woman personally who was funnier than I am. Men yes, plenty. Maybe thats because womens humor is based almost exclusively on their experiences with men.

 Very true, most female comedy revolves around that!

It's probably more likely that they put men off by joking about vibrators and their menstrual cycles and so on and so forth (I'm just going by what a friend told me after she was a women's comedy night).

My reaction is always "Yeah I know, Ive heard this material a million times, have you got anything that isnt about how men behave?"

But theres one female comedian, I forget her name, who cracked me up all the time with her observations of men, because they were so true (it wasnt only about how stupid or evil men are). The one line of hers I remember is "Single men live like bears--- with furniture."

edit: Anna Quindlen! I love you google!

edit2: wait a minute, its not her! I hate you google!
