Why is Lwow already Russian?
The Russians got it from the secret clausule in the non agression pact with Germany.
I'd delete some roads in Russia, one of the reasons Germany had trouble was the lack of decent roads, unlike Western Europe.
I think the Italians had more troops in Northern Africa, IIRC it was 5 against 1 (and they still lost, sjeesh). Perhaps those troops are in Italy though.
Do the Americans do anything except send some ships?
You can put an American airfield in British territory btw, just make sure an immobile American unit is on it. ( the British will try to get rid of it though, but they can't make war )
Another solution: allow airfields in ocean tiles, and put an airfield on a nearby ocean tile ( i put it between ireland and england), culture cannot go on ocean tiles, so the british don't get angry with americans in their territory.
Switserland pretty much sucks and has no purpose whatsoever.
Problem with destroyers is that the AI don't understand anti sub stuff, and just uses it's destroyers to kamikaze against other naval units since it has so many. Can't think of a solution though.
There's lots of resources in Europe, perhaps too much? This might eliminate strategic thinking, since you don't have to worry bout them.
Low countries = Belgium + Netherlands ( + Luxemburg), so just Low Countries is enough.
The Oekrain seems pretty low on resources, while it had a lot of industry.
The bigger map will be fun

Ah well... I'm going to ditch China and try 1.2 as Italy then. I was happy with China but I don't mind not finishing, and I don't think many have given you much feedback yet on Italy.
I had to deal with Italian marines, Bulgarian and Romanian Infantry, more Panzers and a German Army. The Axis fought the Soviets twice in this scenario to date. The first war was instigated by Japan; Germany took two cites in the west, and razed another. Soviets got one Japanese city I am thinking. Second round after a short peace was started by Finland;they bit the dust about 3-4 turns later, as I mentioned above. Since then they have been at peace, and the bloody axis is using Soviet road and rail net to come beat on ME...unfair!
I did get the one army killed, but mostly I think they might be better off not included.
I won't get one for a while either, I'm going to build Battlefield Medicine first in Rome. Didn't you say you were going to remove that in 1.2? I am not going to build armies this game to test whether it is still workable without them. I'm pretty sure it will be. Will finish some turns tomorrow.
