Here's a picture preview of my new project, the Iowa class battleship in it's original WW2 configuration. I took my existing modernized Iowa, and rebuilt the sections that needed to be converted. I added in the 4 - DP 5 inch turrets that they removed for modernization and also added the 40mm Bofors gun tubs. Like before, I'm not giving an ETA on this. Please be patient.

Looks perfect... wish there was a yamato of the same quality to pit against it

Winter, it will be the same size as my modern Iowa I posted. I just thought a larger picture would be nice for a preview.

It will be 240 width x 180 height, to be exact. I render the animations in 800x600 and then resize each animation frame 30%of the original which gives me the 240x180.

Here's a new Fidget preview. I liked Wyrmshadow's idea of having aircraft landing or taking off from a ship for fidget instead of the turrets swinging, so i decided to borrow his idea. When I'm done with this WW2 version of the Iowa, I may revisit my modern Iowa and add an optional fidget animation of a helo' landing or taking off, it's just more realistic than turrets swinging wildly.

It's done. Check the unit graphics forum for download link and info.

I've already done a ww2 destroyer and will be making a PT boat.

To answer your question vingrjoe, I use the blue in all my ship animations because when the colors bleed due to anti-aliasing, it looks better in the water than a bled magenta color. I had been having this problem with my earlier ships with magenta bleeding. I was afraid to go to a blue color because it might have messed with the blue civ color, but I did not run into such a problem with practice.

I use Bryce5 to animate. Vingrjoe uses 3dStudiomax. Max is a good program but expensive, it also allows you to model, my own Bryce doesn't. Most of the models I use I dont make myself.
