Xbox turns off when running animations

Only noticed this after getting really late game (turn 375) didn't happen until I sent up the space satellite. Xbox one x immediately shut itself off and when I turned it back on said it was overheating but console was almost cold and had only been on about an hour. I have checked other games and they all run fine. Think maybe graphics card inside console cannot handle the graphics requirements when opening full map.
