Yor Religious (or Non-Religious) View

Coherence, actually. Trollishness is partially indicated by the (lack) of logic use when trying to inspire angry feelings.
Trollishness is a state of what is being interpreted by someone who apply what is supposed to be a rational account of someone uttering a trollish comment instead of looking at the comment impartially without being angry.;)

"Don't be cruel", you guys. Thank you very much, uh-huh-huh.

Say what?

No. A troll does not attempt to be rational; a troll is meant to rouse a negative reaction.

Not exactly skadistic. I merely point out their hypocrisy in how intolerant they are of people of faith while asking for more tolerance themselves.
MB there aren't any atheists here that give a hoot about your lame attempt at a troll.

All you are doing is drawing attention to the fact you claim religious views have some special immunity to criticism. Which they don't. I don't care if you criticise Atheism since I consider Atheism and Religion to be fair game; you care if I criticise religion, and here you are trying to insult us. Who's the hypocrite again?

Apprantly you did enough to comment on it.

Not exactly. I claim religious views have equal rights to respect and common curtesy.

Plus, all too often, people attempt to criticize religion by criticizing the people who believe in that religion as opposed to merely speaking of the religion itself. Saying that religious people have a mental disorder isnt a criticism of religion, its a slur upon the people who practice it. Thats not criticizing religion...thats just hurling insults.

And to all out there. Let me be clear. No, I dont think atheism is a mental disorder. The comment was a direct reply to curts own comment, just with the roles reversed to illustrate a point.

"Atheists are untrustworthy" - ring any bells?

And I didn't care about your troll, I just don't like to miss a chance to point out your own hypocrisy.

"Atheists are untrustworthy" - ring any bells?

Yeah, there was a poll on this. I also gave my comments on why this perception exists and more than a few atheists actually agreed with me.

And I didn't care about your troll, I just don't like to miss a chance to point out your own hypocrisy.

Ah...kindly remove the plank from thy own eye now that you have pointed out the splinter in mine. :p

Hey, wait a minute. You're the one that doesn't believe in polls. If you don't believe in polls, then stop using them to prove whatever points you're trying to make.

Now that right there is funny. Thats not a splinter of hypocrisy nor a plank. It is a whole old growth tree.

Sigh. Apparently you two simply cant understand that polls are a major topic of debate here at cfc. Nor are you capable to understand that I was not "using' a poll to make my point - I was merely commenting on the possibilities of how the data in such a poll occurred. While I may call into question how poll questions are formed and the data presented, it doesnt mean I waive my right to comment on their findings. As long as people, like you, comment on such polls and the pros/cons of them, me doing so as well is not hypocrisy at all.

Case in point, I didnt espouse the validity or invalidity of the poll in regards to atheists - however, I did discuss from my own personal viewpoint as to why those in the poll may have the opinion they do.

That is not hypocrisy. Perhaps you need a remedial class in how to spot it? :p

Aren't you a lawyer or something?

So some one (you) says polls mean nothing then some one (you) uses a poll to bolster his bigotry. If thats not hipocracy then what is it? Either all polls or no polls. You can't pick and chose. And I'm sure you tried to back track and cover your butt in the rest of your post but like your stance that gays don't get booted from the military or that gays can marry as long as it the opposite sex I'll just let you hang your self on your own foolishness.

Actually, I did neither...but dont let that stop you. Your onna roll! :goodjob:

If thats not hipocracy then what is it? Either all polls or no polls. You can't pick and chose.

Are all polls created equal? No? Then I damn sure can pick and choose. Hell, you yourself pick and choose which polls you think are legit and which ones you think are crap so dont even try to lecture me for doing the same thing.

And I'm sure you tried to back track and cover your butt in the rest of your post but like your stance that gays don't get booted from the military

I never said they dont get booted...I said we dont hunt them down in order to boot them. Again, you were not listening and thus (again) misrepresent what I said.

But I will merely point out (again) that I am placed precisely via my work to know far more about the matter than you ever would. I have far more knowledge and experience in this, since I actually am a paralegal in the mililtary and happen to work directly with such cases. You, on the other hand, simply dont.

I happen to know what I am talking about and have decades of experience in doing it. You dont. There simply is no debate here. I am right and you are, well....hugely misinformed.

or that gays can marry as long as it the opposite sex

Are you saying gays cant marry the opposite sex? Care to back that up?

Part one, itll Explain how the bible might actually plagiarizes alot of other books/stories before it was created (Not to mention how Jesus's Birth/Death sequence is all related to the stars!)

Laughable. Once again, look at this thread and look who threw the first stone. Was it a religionist? Or an atheist?

Answer: Atheist. Its always an atheist who starts this stuff, in regards to beliving in God is a mental disorder. Always. And you continue the intolerance in what you do.
As others have said, two wrongs don't make a right. But the thing is, at least atheists confine their views to webforums where it is intended we discuss about religion. Whenever I hear claims that atheists are supposedly just as militant as theists, the only examples given are atheists debating on a forum!

The world would be a better place if religious views were confined to debate forums, rather than being a force in politics, and being forced upon children. Here in the UK, we are not even allowed to bring up children in secular schools ( http://observer.guardian.co.uk/uk_news/story/0,,2175185,00.html ).
