I've always considered this statement to be obnoxious, condescending, and just plain wrong.Cilpot said:Military Intelligence is probably my favourite.
Yes, but no one ever sees you guys, all we ever see around campus are the obnoxious superior acting marine types who appear to be lacking brain cells or at least a free will. They never smile and take themselves way too seriously. One time a few years ago some guys played a practical joke on the marine on our floor and the guy lost his composure and stormed off spitting insults behind him. Honestly its guys like him that give the military an antisocial pigheaded and stupid reputation.YNCS said:I've always considered this statement to be obnoxious, condescending, and just plain wrong.
Having actually worked in military intelligence, I can assure everyone that it is not an oxymoron. I worked in military intelligence for several years. It is neither an oxymoron nor a group of incompetents telling the leadership what they want to hear. Military intelligence people are quite carefully selected, undergo very rigorous and periodic personal investigation, and are given a free rein to develop information vital to the nation's defense. I'm quite proud of the fact that I was involved in intelligence.

Also pretty ugly, plastic glasses, only choice, unbiased opinion and larger half are good ones.
Keirador said:I absolutely HATE it whenever people misuse the word "literally", as they commonly do, for example:
"Like, oh my God, that guy was so like hot I like literally died!"
I also find it wonderfully oxymoronic when people, mostly people around here, misspell words like "stupid" and "idiotic" when applying them to others.
