Basketball definitely # 1 for me personally.

Soccer is #2 and is definitely the most global sport. You can't help but watch the World Cup.

I find baseball and American football really boring. They just don't flow like a sport should. Constant interruptions and very little continuous action.

Why isn't Apple Dunking on the poll?

Thank brazillian for the beautiful game of football.
Thank MJ for the game called basketball.

American football is a joke of course.
Hear hear. Whimps with padding who cheat by throwing forwards. Least they fall over less than soccer players.

Got to be football (Soccer for you Yanks) for me all the way. Has to be the most popular sport on the planet.
:)

I think most soccer players would be great actors.
I don't know, I think it's quite easy to tell when they've dived. Pretty sure most would get sacked from any bad soap.

Footie of course. :)

What I like in football is that it could really become artistic when players are really good. It's true for many sports but I believe football is the one where it's the most obvious (maybe because it's the one I know the best though). The only thing I know is that when football is played well, there's nothing more fabulous to see.

Sitting at my computer beating up the AI. I don't really like sports, they have a disturbing tendancy of being held outside. There is fresh air out there!

Martial Arts

I like to watch them; K1, MMA, Kyokushinkai Karate etc.

And to practice them myself, mainly Kyokushinkai Karate but I'm also considering to try some Jeet Kune Do or Krav Maga on the side. That's pure streetfighting, all about effectiveness.

Basically sport where you can kick people on the head, and still be legal. That's the sport I like to watch. No sport can be more exiting :D

Favorite Sports:

#1 Boxing
#2 American Football
#3 Hockey

A few points concerning American football:

1. Most Americans who play football do so without pads with their friends, making it as "full contact" as rugby.
2. Since all rugby players need to be somewhat athletic, they don't have to deal with the prospect of being tackled by a 6'9" 375lbs. (206cm 170kg) defensive lineman.
3. The fact that there are frequent stoppages in play makes it more exciting, and more intense than other games (there will be no one on the field jogging at all, as in soccer, in fact nearly everyone will either be sprinting or making a hit/blocking one). Furthermore, the plays that a coach calls are more important than in any other major sport.

It looks like the same action pattern repeated all the time. As if we were allways playing a soccer midfielder passing the ball far to the right to a collegue passing it to the center for a guy to score with the head.
Anyway I don't think we can compare it to rugby which is a conquest game with true physicall engagment, athletic performances, field strategy.

You certainly want to be injured?

How so? That game requires alot of strategy.

I like playing Hockey and Football (American), though I do enjoy a good soccer game every once in ahile. I like watching Football (American), NASCAR (brought up watching it, now its just habit), and sometimes when I'm somewhat bored I can even watch those lumberjack games that they have on ESPN from time to time.

HOCKEY!

I see you haven't placed it in the poll... at first I saw red... then I realized you left it out intentionally, as it's a no-brainer that it's the greatest sport ;)
