Fission. When the fusion process(in hydrogen bombs) begins, you're already dead.

What he said. Hydrogen bombs start with fission to create enough heat for the fusion reaction to happen. If you're standing next to the bomb, by the time the fusion happens, you don't exist.

Anyway, either wire should work. In the real world, there's no such thing as a wire that causes the bomb to blow up if it's cut; if there is, then it's been specifically booby-trapped, and there's no way for me to know which one they'd booby-trap.
