And I am saying that we all know that, and people know not to trust all the stuff on the internet.
Now move along, because besides know this, there is no point in discussing it. And else I also need to get my moderator hat out.
Idk seems like they all say something like that in the vids, I wonder if they got told they can trash that and the UI because it is getting majorly updated.
The notes itself would be wonderful . Transcription is probably not necessary, as a proper transcription will take 4-5 times the length of the video (as I had to experience...).

Ursa Ryan interview
Hmm. For MP, they don't have any restrictions on what civ you can pick in subsequent Ages. They expect players to utilize house rules, if they wish.
It sounds like there's only going to be one map size at release, at least for MP
This is due to the requirement that they have crossplay available between all platforms
Hotseat was not pursued because they chose to prioritize crossplay functionality instead
It soundslike hotseat may be introduced in the future, though
Ed grins while discussing fan reactions to civ-swapping
Ed loves how Redditors have been posting guesses as to civ-swapping flow charts
Ed mentions Chola as being a naval power
regarding civs that get represented in all 3 Ages: Some will be that way at release. Others will get filled in with DLC. As we anticipated
giving as many civs the multi-Age treatment as possible is a goal
Crises are PvE events designed to address late-game lulls
Gwendolyn Christie was very interested in doing the narration
Going for a more serious and thoughtful tone for tech/civic/wonder quotes
They built a prototype for Civ 7 within Civ 6. But they couldn't do Navigable Rivers in that engine. Civ 7 has a new engine
Exploration Age has a big naval emphasis. No surprise there
Alliances do not require renewal
Potato McWhiskey
Also starts with a question about modding. How interesting
Still using XML to design civs and what-not
modding tools to be out after launch on a similar timetable as with Civ 6 (a few months later)
no word on mods for consoles
Exploration adds "Distant Lands", religion, and other mechanics. Modern Age also adds new mechanics
ways to pursue economic greatness change in each Age
Map generation has changed. The civs are placed first, then the terrain is added
Place the civs. Give them terrain that suits them. Then fill in the rest of the map
This diplo system is the 4th one they've tried for Civ 7
they scrapped the first 3
the core basis for all was that it had to have a diplomatic currency
the 4th diplomacy came late in development
they had to trim Greece (and other civs) down because they were unfocused. They tried to give Greece representation for Athens, Sparta, Corinth and others. And it was too much
Sid himself designed the movement system
hitting rough terrain ends your turn automatically
bridges are maybe districts or buildings?
Carl gonna be a daddy
There's a different Commander type in each Age. We already know there's Naval in Exploration. Air commander?
Ed used to work for NASA (indirectly). Didn't know that
Boestheius
Carl misses the old Great People from Civ 6. But says that having civ-specific Great People really adds a lot of historical depth to those civs that have them
The narrative events tie into this new GP system. Interesting
over 1000 narrative events
narrative events: civ-specific, leader-specific, GP-specific, and generic ones, like ones stemming from natural disasters
it actually utilizes the code for Civ 6's gossip system for determining when to launch a narrative event
"It's really hard to measure the exact size of the AI team." - Ed
Schrodinger's AI team
certain design changes make it easier for AI, like the Army Commanders, removing builders, removing unit promotions
Legacy paths get more specific in later Ages
the system for unlocking civs (IE 3 Horses for Mongols) is a result of focus testing
Map generation has changed. The civs are placed first, then the terrain is added

Hello Civ Fanatics Forum, I'm new here. I'm also new to the scene as a Civilization content creator. I made a video about CIV VII based on what we've seen from developers so far. Is it cool if I post it in here and let people check it out?

Thank you! Link to my thoughts on the new CIV VII features at the bottom. But a couple of things. A quick TRIGGER (and spoiler) WARNING!!
I've received a lot of hate from CIV V fans. It's fine, I'm a tough cookie, but in the video I rank the CIV series and put 5 at the bottom. I have my reasons why, no fan of CIV V has seemed to care. Go ahead and tell me off, but I'm a person so please do it with a smile.
Also, my channel is devoted to storytelling through CIV. As I say in my videos: I explore alternatives to history through the lens of the world’s most addictive video game. I hope you enjoy it. And if you do, help out a new content creator and do that thing where you leave a comment, like and subscribe, or, as mentioned above, tell me off... it's fine.
