The problem is in the "stand your ground" law. There have been many cases where a person (of same race) was pretty much executed based on this law. So to me this race stuff is ridiculous. Lots of blacks and so called "liberals" seem to be most racist ones. Most racist attacks in US are made by blacks. "White guilt" seems to prevent liberals from seeing the reality in US.

I've seen a lot of people ragging on the prosecutor for failing to get a conviction, and I don't think that's fair. When he handled the case of a black woman who fired a harmless warning shot at her abusive ex, he got a conviction and twenty years.

Indeed. I recall a famous episode where the Panthers used their completely legal right to carry shotguns in public to walk into a courtroom during a trial not that different from the Trayvon Martin case. You know, just to see what happens.

What I'm saying is, the system works.

The woman in that case wasn't cornered in her house, beset by her abusive husband. She was separated from him and had a restraining order, and went back to their old house to get some clothes and junk thinking that he wasn't there. Well he was. They argued, she left the house, went to her car, got her gun, and went back inside the house, where she fired the shot into the wall. She was charged with reckless endangerment of her children and could have gotten off with a few years, but she chose to play the SYG card and lost horribly. Florida law is incredibly stupid, so she got 10 years for having a gun during the crime and another 10 years for discharging it.

No, neither the arizona case I linked above or this florida case are that simple that race determines the verdict.
