Ohwell it seems this was not sealion, as recon confirms this was nothign but an ill-fated raid.
As a matter of fact, it did nothing to my defence system; my many plans had hoped for this contingency. I kind of wanted to be rid of Dover, since its closeness to the continent was dangerous and I didn't want to allow the enemy a beachhead. It was not "city protection" it was a base from which the enemy could potentially operate. I would be better off with no Dover, because without it all they could do is one of two things. One, land on the beach where dover once was, where I would bomb their exposed asses. Two, they could send their transports to a more distant city, but that would allow me to bomb them en route, or bomb the city they take out of existence (that is why I purposefully built no fortifications to the south; so that I could destroy a beachhead). There's two whole pages I could write here about my numerous defense mechanisms, but they are of course secret. Perhaps I'll brag about them in the postgame discussion. Trust me, I've put a lot of thought into this.
My only mistake here was to not have read up on how powerful Airborne divisions are. I though they would be weak units good only for occupation, but it turns out they are not. Either way a true sealion is a long ways away.
- Unfortunately the short-lived German attack in southern England has apparently spread panic and chaos in the British and American economies, and production orders have been changed throughout the Allied territories. It is fortunate that few major projects were underway to be destroyed by this problem.
