It is 2011. Fidel Castro has died of a stroker months earlier. Cuban Communist Party leadership is weak, and a revolutionary movement calling itself Cuba Libre has seized control of a number of cities. US President John McCain has pledged US support to the democratic revolutionaries. President Hugo Chavez of Venezuela, meanwhile, has vowed to help Cuba retain its sovreignty in the face of the American imperialist aggressors.

Not many rule changes to this scenario outside of renaming the civilizations.
The only new unit is the Chinese Advisor (10/11/1) which is generated by the great wonder Chinese Expeditionary Force in Caracas. No text or art files required for this one.:)

Locked Alliances

Caribbean Freedom Pact
US
Cuba Libre
Jamaica
Belize
Colombia

Axis of Good*
Venezuela
Cuba

The two alliances are locked in a war.

*In case you're wondering, no, I did not make up this name; Chavez did; the third member is Evo Morales of Bolivia, but the map doesn't go that far south.

Almost forgot to cite Jatibi for creating the map.

Looks really good - am downloading now :).

I'm downloading it; I'm into anti-communist stuff and I like this; I was thinking of one similer, but it would be on a global scale. I wouldn't have made McCain President though...thats the problem with futuristic scenarios. Also aid like that isn't imperialism; its the Truman Doctrine.

I know; I was just using the phrasing I think Chavez would. Maybe I should have used quotes.

And as far as McCain goes, he's the GOP frontrunner right now, and I think he'd likely beat Hillary Clinton or Mark Warner.

Este scenario me gusta mucho... debe jugarlo. Oh whatever... my Spanish isn't that great, but I will definitely play this one!

I know I just couldn't resist teaching. I would rather of Sen. Allen or Powell.

I'd prefer a President Newton Gingrich.... ;)

"Debo lo jugar" means "I should play it". You said "He/She should it play" (lo is used before the verb in Spanish). I love being in Spanish 1 :D

I'm playing it right now, CSA...and I love it! Great job!

just a thought:
Isnt Panama generally a U.S. ally? I mean, we have massive investments in their infrastructure, we built the canal, and we got them their independence. Even though we formally handed over the canal years ago, i think we still maintain a military presence, to protect our investments, train Panama's special forces, and ensure free use of the canal. I'm not sure about all this, but if its true Panama should be locked with us.

Panama we invaded in like 1986 to get rid of Noriega; who was a lot like Chavez is now *hint* and we keep a military presnse there to ensure the neutrality of the canal; we handed the canal over in 1999. Yes Mastreditr111 I agree and Bogota should be on the map and Venuzula is strong!

I played it for around 2 hrs again today and I'm at Week 16, I've already liberated Cuba (I haven't given it independance; its a Commonwealth to be a State later :)) and I landed forces in Venuzula and they were beat back to a beach head; I'm using the antillies North of Ven. to launch air raids and heli Marines in; I've sent a bunch of units to my enclave to keep it free then I'll strike again; I'm also aiding Colobmia (which is almost destroyed) with Tactical Air Strikes; that is going well; I've beat back an attempt to land Ven. forces via navy on Peurto Rico and I'm reqrouping my military in Cuba to be airlifted/sea lifted to Ven. I also control the capitol of Ven. I used ICMB's (I didn't want to) to cripple Ven. and I'm on the road to victory. Good one; its harder than some others I've played.
