Oh, he's incredible. Easily one of the greats up there with Bo, Herschel, Tebow, etc. I actually thought his accuracy was a little off Saturday compared to what he can usually do. Hopefully both he and Evans will declare early . . .

I sure hope you are dead wrong and they use every ounce of their eligibility :mischief:

On another note, even though we lost to Alabama, this was probably the loudest, emotionally draining games I have ever experienced at Kyle Field in the dozen+ years that I have been going to the games. And this includes all the Texas, Oklahoma, and Nebraska games I've attended. Some of those false starts, I have no doubt in my mind, were caused by us, the 12th Man.

Of all the away fans that I have had the privilege of meeting, the Alabama fans I met rank up there with the Virginia Tech fans as some of the best to come through College Station. Definitely, Alabama fans > LSU fans. And 'Bama fans have convinced me to make it out to every SEC venue at least once. I could never say that about the Big 12. Never had the desire to visit Ames, Iowa, Manhattan, Kansas or Lubbock, Texas (even through I had to drive through there for a ski trip to New Mexico, and we didn't stop).

In case you are wondering, the worst fans are Texas Tech's. They've even vandalized A&M's administrative buildings that have nothing to do with academics or athletics.

Two teams with QBs Mack Brown should have offered . . .

EDIT: Wait. Vandy is playing at UMass? Who's making the schedules at Vandy . . ? I guess someone who realizes they're going to make more as a guest than they would off their home fans. So sad . . .

Curious for a national perspective: Does anyone think Alabama's D could hang with LSU's or Florida's . . ?

It was pretty crazy in CS/Bryan on Saturday. 250,000 people where even 100,000 have a hard time moving around on a normal day. I was pretty impressed A&M hung with Alabama, I expected a fairly thorough beatdown. A&M might have the guns to get to a NCG rematch, which I am sure everyone in the country would love :p

As an aside, I know by some metrics the SEC has been great for A&M and all, but I still selfishly would rather be associated with better academic schools. I'm a grad student after all.

Speaking of Mack Brown, if he keeps losing the same way to BYU and Ole Miss level teams throughout the season, and loses to Oklahoma at a tune similar to Tennessee's rout by Oregon,

Does he:

A. Retire at the end of this season
B. Get fired at the end of this season
C. Get fired mid season
D. None of the above

He's done at the end of the season unless Texas wins out, no question. ESPECIALLY if he loses to Oklahoma.

Get ready for Art Briles scoring 70 points per game in Austin!

The SEC looks alright this week. I'm going to say 9-2, which would mean no SEC teams lose to OOC foes. I could see Arkansas or Missouri going down on the road, but both of those teams probably need to win this week to preserve bowl hopes and I think they get it done . . .

ESPN's GameDay at North Dakota State. I bet Stanford and Arizona State are loving that. Especially the fans. :mischief:

I hope NC State can hang with Clemson tonight... I want a good game.

In reality tho I want Clemson to keep their high ranking. Hoping NC State doesn't have a one-week showing like they are prone to do.

Don't count out the possibility of the first, NC State may have had a hard time shrugging off Richmond last week, but it seems like some people are in the mindset that they might pull off an upset. Going on that note, Clemson certainly doesn't strike me even as the best or 2nd best team in the ACC at the moment, Florida State and Miami look better than Clemson does in overall aspects. Until Clemson's questionable, and quite frankly, shoddy defense can hold up against a Florida State or a Miami, I doubt they finish the year in the top 10, or even top 20. This is their only true road test of the year besides playing South Carolina for their final game, and if they can't pull out a win tonight, they certainly have no justification for being a top 10 team.

I believe Clemson can beat Miami... unless the QB plays alot better.

State's DL is strong... I don't know if the DBs and the LBs can hang with Clemson's talent.

Clemson has already beat a better team than Miami with the win over UGA. I really think people are overvaluing Miami based on that Florida game. When you win the turnover battle by four -- five if you count the turnover on downs in the second -- then you really ought to win by more than five points. Miami converted only one third down the whole game, was held to just over two hundred yards of offense and lost time of possession two to one.

It's great that the ACC has two teams in the national conversation, but it's still very early in the year. I'd be excited to have Clemson or FSU still be relevant after the conference title games have been played, but it seems like they disappoint me every time. But I'm hopeful :dunno:

If we could only match the FCS playoff structure in the FBS...

Good game  . State got hosed. They had momentum and after that call they started to falter. :(

They had T.Boyd getting hammered in the first half... nice defense Wolfpack :goodjob:
