:king: Count1 of China U R making my Vikes nervous again with your troop movements. :twitch:
An attack would be costly for us both.

:king: Sinmusta of Ethiopia... nice work by your warrior defending against that barb archer! :goodjob:
Bet that got him some nice experience. :)

Thanks for the info! It was on a good defensive tile so I dared to hope for a win. Happy New Year everyone!

I begin to have a sense of the relationship between two of my tribes.

Interesting land masses.

Same here. 2 of mine can actually "see" each other, however due to the nature of the landmasses* they can't connect yet. :wavey:

*never played on Archipelago map before, not sure what to expect :scan:

kenwyn - Your nervous troops are not my concern, perhaps you should show them some discipline :mischief:

My troops are merely on manoeuvres

Seems Count1's Chin are on the way to try to take out my peaceful Vikes.
Hm-m-m, is this a "Complete Kill" game?

:king: sinimusta of Ethi, i didn't agree to a nice long peace so that U could bild a city 20 tiles away from your nearest border & just 7 from mine.

NOT good, not good at all. Seems U need to alter your playing style/strategy when playing against humans... we are not as dumb or short-sighted as the AI. :hmm:

We need to address this MAJOR land grab... soon & hopefully without war. Suggest U contact me in private regarding what can be done. :please:

T'is true me lord. :( Alas it keeps us all honest. :jesus:
T'is a real world of threats among, well... ruthless, lawless, uncompromising, & uncultured barbarians. :twitch:
Rather than a fantasy land of pure research & expansive land-grabbing & religion-spreading anywhere & everywhere. [party]
Besides, they are building some nicely positioned cities we can conquer in time. ;)

An unpromoted barb warrior defeated my promoted warrior on a hill and did serious damage to my second promoted warrior but died in the process, thankfully. Still can't complain, I had the benefit of the RNG earlier.

Not sure if this is about barbs... but don't forget that barb cities can be tough if they're on a hill.

Anyway I don't think the actual barbarians are that bad. Sometimes they get can get lucky and win a couple of low odd battles in row, but that's merely annoying if you're well prepared. Btw what do you mean that barbs keep us honest?

"Btw what do you mean that barbs keep us honest? "
One can't just ignore defense & run around mapping & city-planting anywhere.

Barbs, especially raging, force us to grow & manage our civs MUCH more realistic.
Unless U believe that we are ALL really nice guys :jesus: that would never think of:
a> taking an empty city or
b> city with say, just a warrior in it, or
c> picking off an under-guarded settler (great way to get free workers ;)).

While U R out trying to gather goodie huts & snoop around too much or too far. :cowboy:
