I actually just finished a game of Civ V myself. Diplo victory as Darius on Prince. Got ranked as Abraham Lincoln. I like Diplo victories in Civ V. Quicker and not as constraining as Culture victories. I prefer Civ V for when I play by myself. I can't solo Civ IV effectively very well. That's why I prefer it for SGs
Anyways, as for the game:
cripp - UP
Brian - ON DECK
Matrix
Meiz
Spellcraft
yena - JUST PLAYED
So we're settling the military (or production) city on the marble like so, yes?
Spoiler :
EDIT: Or maybe 1N of the marble >:? It would lose two hills but gain Copper... Hm.
If the marble spot is for the military city, I think this spot is good for the production city or naval city:
Spoiler :
Up here may also be good for the naval city...
Spoiler :
But from what little can be seen, it doesn't look like we can get both of the fish in one city. I think that area is however a scouting priority, so we should get a galley or workboat up there ASAP.
Oh and looking down to our south... All the way down here...
Spoiler :
This looks to me like a good spot for the Espionage city, but it is a little far away.
And if we decide to take Seoul, it would definitely be our GPfarm. Wet corn, grassland pigs, fish, mmm...
Here is a save with my dotmap suggestions if you wanna look at it for yourselves (if you have BUG mod at least) or add to it.
By the way: what is the point of the red dot? I know you guys were talking about using it to block Wang, but it's utterly useless! Our borders towards him are pretty close to his anyways. A blocking city would be better placed NE or E of the jungle grassland pigs our Archer is standing on. That is at least a semi-decent site, though which of our 8 cities it would become is beyond me. Also when Money-City gets a border pop in 17t, I think it might seal that area. Not sure though.
