I think we should so we will never forget the people who gave their lives for our country:goodjob:
The victims didn't give their lives for their country, their lives were snatched from them in an act of terrible brutality.

An annual minute of silence for victims of terrorism would be more appropriate than a day on the couch drinking beer and watching sport.

Its already an informal holiday, and within a few years it'll be an official national one. What politician could resist being associated with making it a holiday?

I just hope they dont call it 'Patriot Day'

Are people so shallow that they need a holiday to remember this? No. Even though most Americans can't find Iraq on a globe, they still know what Dec. 7 represents.

Yeah, we don't have a holiday for when the Germans attacked Pearl Harbor, or for when the French surrendered in WWI, so why would we have one for this?

Too close to Labor Day for a national holiday. Spome years they would be in the same week.

Senator Blutarsky I presume?

Generally holidays are days of celebration.....I personally don't really think 9/11 is the kind of thing to celebrate....

The same way they look forward to Memorial Day or Veterans' Day now?

Not all national holidays have to be celebrations. In Australia and NZ, we have a national holiday called Anzac day this basically is a day when our troops were slaughtered by the Turks. Basically it is a day to remember those lost in battle.

You are correct and stupid at the same time. He was quoting Senator Blutarsky.

That was his joke. :) France never surrendered in WWI, either.

:hammer2:

Doh! Ok! ... I do feel stupid now :p

I wonder how the voting would go among a more representative sample of the American people.
