MILITARY QUALITY CHANGES. Paris, France. The quality of a military can be affected by a large variety of factors. Combat or a lack thereof, training exercises, or extended funding can all have a major effect upon the growth or shrinking of a nations quality in warfare. This year many nations quality statistics have been adjusted and the changes are provided below in a easy to read list:

ECONOMIC REPORT. Tsarityn, Russian Federation. Economic specialists world wide have discussed continued economic growth as signs that a new world order is at hand with greater prosperity than ever before. The introduction of new consumer goods to the European Alliance of Nations is definitely an important part as Sweden provides new goods to the people. Other economic growth has slowed, but many believe that this will change as new goods enter fresh markets. Below, as before, is the list of economic changes for this year:

FLORIDA ELECTIONS. Saint Augustine, Florida. Supreme President Graham held elections this year as a token pittance to those who remember the republic. As the only person on the ballot, it is unsurprising that he won in a massive majority. Voting was closely monitored and the government has promised to continue on its previous course. Graham has pledged to keep Floridas borders secure from Georgian invasion and to keep the Floridian people safe from the horrors of war. (+3 Stability)
ALGONQUIN ELECTIONS. Fox Falls, Algonquin Nation. The Algonquin government had once again a major shift in politics this year. A brutal campaign was undertaken by both the Liberal and Conservative Parties for control of the nation. Various underhanded techniques were used by both sides to garner votes, including intimidation and poll blocking. The government attempted to hold down the amount of change, but in the end the elections went through with extensive tampering. The Conservative Party won in a final count, but many believe that the election was not fairly won. Various protests have erupted as a result. The new government has pledged to scale back government spending and to reduce the power of the nations military in politics. (-3 Stability)
TEXANS CONTINUE TO SECURE JAMAICA. Kingston, Texan Republic. Texan military officials have continued to push deeper into Jamaica this year, securing territory from communist rebels in the hills. Intelligence has been leaked to the media that the United Collectives of North America have urged the Jamaican communists to cease fighting in hopes of a later revolution. The Jamaican communists are believed to have been greatly weakened by the end of any political support they may have been receiving from the International Socialist Cooperative Group. This failure has given much hope to the Texan occupational forces, who have announced the end of military hostilities this year. (-2 Texan Infantry Brigades)
NEW ENGLAND HOLDS MAJOR MILITARY PARADE. Boston, Republic of New England. The Republic of New England unveiled their newest weapons in their arsenal this year during a grandiose military spectacle. The first step of the operation was a parade down the central streets of Boston, as new Taylor tanks and soldiers marched for the amusement of the people. The pride among these were the new Imperial Stormtroopers, in their white dress uniforms. These soldiers are stated to be New Englands new Special Forces, well armed and trained, the best forces in the military. At sea a major demonstration took place by the naval and above biplanes flew, all as a demonstration of New Englands military might. Sources claim that the New York Yankees attempted to sabotage the proceedings, but the military has confirmed that efforts led by the masked vigilante, the Comedian were successful in cracking down on the units which were to bomb the parade within Boston itself.
VIRGINIA HOLDS MAJOR MILITARY PARADE. Richmond, Virginian Empire. The Virginian unveiled their newest weapons in their arsenal this year during a grandiose military spectacle. There was a grand parade down the central streets of Richmond, as new Taylor tanks and soldiers marched for the amusement of the people. The pride among these were the new Rangers, in their green dress uniforms. These soldiers are stated to be Virginias new Special Forces, well armed and trained, the best forces in the military.
METIS ELECTIONS. Winnipeg, Metis Syndicate. The Metis government had rather dull elections this year, as the standing government crushed the opposition. The attacks upon the standing government last year were easily recast in another light, discrediting all opposing parties. The Savuage government has pledged to maintain the nation and its economic growth and rise of standards of living. Many also hope that they will learn to upkeep the nations stability as well. LOUISIANA UNVIELS NEW SUBMARINES. New Orleans, Empire of Louisiana. The Louisianan Naval Bureau unveiled a new type of submarine this year, a much longer range type. These ships are stated to carry heavier payloads of torpedoes and to reach much longer distances. The submarines can also spend a greater amount of time underwater between surfacing and attacks. These new Long Range (LR) Submarines are said to be the finest commerce warfare vessels afloat.

COUP FAILS IN BELIZE. Belize City, Belize. The government of Belize was besieged by an abortive military coup this year as the military attempted to seize control from the Liberal government. The military coup was poorly organized and led, and loyalists were quickly rallied to destroy the uprising. The leaders have been arrested and the whole affair was fortunately free of any major violence. (+4 Stability)
CONTROVERSIAL REFORM IN PARAGUAY. Asuncion, Paraguay. The Paraguayan military government has passed some highly controversial changes this year to previous policies. The regime has stripped all rights to the ownership of land or voting rights to all non-Paraguayan citizens within the nations borders. This applies to any Bolivians who have failed to sign up for the nations previous citizenship programs or policies, and has left many in the dust. Businessmen and other entrepreneurs have moved into Bolivia, taking advantage of this situation as many of the poorer or less well informed Bolivians are moved into the streets. Open revolt has occurred as a result of this in several of Bolivias major cities. The Paraguayan military was quickly mobilized to respond. After several months of fighting, order was restored and the uprising was crushed. (-15 Infantry Brigades, -1 Stability)
CHILE ELECTIONS. Santiago, Chile. Despite years of turmoil and unrest within the ranks of people within Chile, the majority seem to feel that the socialists are doing a good job. The Socialist Party of Chile was reelected with a sweeping majority by the local populace. Leftover dissidents have successfully been branded as crazies or out of touch with modern society. Those conservatives who remain have retreated to regroup and protect what little power they have left within Chiles Congress. (+4 Stability)
ITALIAN ARMS REACH CENTRAL AMERICA. Guatemala City, Guatemala. The Italian government sold off a large surplus of obsolete arms this year to various governments within Central America. Among these were a number of old tanks without turrets or modern engines or design. The Italian built tanks never saw action in combat until now. These tanks now rest in the hands of the governments of Belize, Guatemala, and Honduras. Also several older submarines were purchased by the government of Belize. Local governments have condemned Italy for possibly encouraging new violence in the region with these arms sales.
HAITIANS PASS INSANE REFORM. Port-au-Prince, Empire of Haiti. In a plot which reeks of desperation and pity, the Haitian government has passed a law allowing women to serve in the countrys military. As the women remain in their proper places at home, cooking and cleaning, this has done very little for standing manpower. On the other hand, it has raised much anger among the military and the nations conservatives, who view this as an attack upon tradition and all good moral fiber. Heated protests and debates have been held against this move and the nation faces extreme turmoil as a result. (-3 Stability)

SCOTTISH ECONOMIC BOOM. Edinburgh, Scotland. In the wake of the nations political turmoil, people seemed to have woken up and are spending like theres no tomorrow. Shelves are emptying of goods faster than ever and the economy seems to be exploding upwards. New merchandise from the Co-Axial Pact as well as an influx of exotic French goods have allowed the construction of more local businesses. Scottish investors have begun to play a part across the global Co-Axial business sphere.
ECONOMIC GROWTH IN TRANSYLVANIA. Blaj, Transylvania. The development of new goods in Russia has spread to its protectorates. Businessmen in the nation of Transylvania have capitalized upon these developments the quickest. New goods and services have flooded into Transylvanian markets, and the local businesses have managed to adapt rather than be overwhelmed by Russian corporations. The people are proud of their continuing successes as a nation.
SWEDISH ELECTIONS. Stockholm, Swedish Empire. The Swedish elections this year were incredibly uneventful. A peaceful campaign was run by both major parties in the events, as the conservatives trumped up recent economic successes in order to maintain their control over the government. The people have overall been proud of the countrys development in recent years, and the Conservatives were easily brought back into office for another few years. (+1 Stability)
FRENCH HALT TRAINS UNDER PRESSURE. Paris, France. The French government, after last years revelations in foreign press of the so called Belgian and Moroccan death trains, international interests united in demanding the French halt the programs. The French government extensively expressed that all involved were convicted criminals by the French judicial system or terrorists against the French nation. Spearheaded by nations from Russia to Germany to New England, the French government was forced to shut down the program. Sources within France have confirmed the end of the train shipments, though some state that it is already too late for many within Belgium and Morocco.
GERMANY ANNOUNCES ROAD IMPROVEMENT. Munich, German Republic. The German government this year proudly announced the completion and development of urban road networks. This included repaving and restructuring of Germanys main cities urban transportation systems. Among these changes include installation of revolutionary new electric tram transportation, as well as the paving of all roads within the cities. This has been called a step forward in modernization of the German nation and the urban transit system of Germany is called one of the most advanced in the world.
ENGLISH UNVIEL NEW SPECIAL FORCES. London, England. In the wake of the rise of Celtic insurgencies and attacks, the English government has established the new Commando units, modeled off the Kommandos of Germany. The Commandos are stated to be the finest English military forces available, and are lauded as the weapons which will stop the Celtic Crusader and other Celtic insurgents from carrying out their dastardly agendas. The commandos are roughly estimated by foreign soldiers to not quite being on par with their German counterparts, but roughly a match to the Tennessean Hunters.
TURMOIL IN SCOTTISH MONARCHY. Edinburgh, Scotland. The Scottish governments recent unpopular reforms were met with a regime change this year. The son of the king, an ambitious man already proclaimed to be heir, led an assassination team against his father. The new King William IV has succeeded William III, bringing the nations second monarch in the newly reforged kingdom. He immediately rescinded last years harsh laws, and the surprising economic prosperity which erupted this year has led many of the Scottish people to declare this a new golden age for Scotland. GREECE JOINS EAN. Athens, Greece. Greece has long been a nation between alliances, sitting at a crossroads between Europe and the Middle East. With the military success over the Ottoman Empire during the Suez War, Greece has become respected as a nation for its newfound military prowess. Despite this the ever growing power of the Russian Imperial Protectorate, the instability of the Middle East, and the rise of the Co-Axial Pact have led to Greece to look for friends internationally. The Greek government has found these friends within the European Alliance of Nations, which welcomes Greece to their ranks this year by popular consensus.

MILITARY MAKES BID FOR POWER IN OTTOMAN EMPIRE. Ankara, Ottoman Empire. Elements of the Ottoman military, dissatisfied with the governments treaty with the insurgent group, attempted to seize power for themselves this year. What followed was a quick but brutal battle in the capitol, where loyalists fought the uprisings forces. The military leaders responsible were arrested by the government after their minor forces were defeated in the field. The Ottoman government has restored order and the treaty went through as planned. The success of the government has helped stabilize the nation politically. (+1 Stability, -5 Infantry Brigades)
FRAUD MARKS PERSIAN ELECTIONS. Tehran, Persia. The Hemmati government has won the Persian elections once again this year, but has been met with some criticism from neighboring countries. The candidates opposing Hemmati are believed to have been not much more than stooges of the standing government, dividing the opposing vote and working under very close supervision. The campaign was dominated by Hemmati who has pledged to bring about a restored Persian nation, reunifying the shattered state. His success over the Ottomans during the recent abrupt revolts has helped secure his support among the military and Persian population, who believe him to be capable of reuniting the nation. PALESTINE ELECTIONS. Al Quds, Palestine. The success of the Yemeni bid for independence and the failure of the Ottoman Empire to restore control over Kurdistan and Syria have made a number of Palestinians very thoughtful towards the future. The Liberal Party continued their cries for complete autonomy from Germany this year, and the people listened. The Palestinian Liberal Party has been brought into office on the platform of securing the nations full freedom. This has met with some resistance however. German colonial interests are the most minor of these, while the Jewish minority projects fears of Islamic dominion and intolerance. The state of Jordans new government has also issued protests, stating that a new regime in Palestine independent of Germany could throw Jordans economy into turmoil. At the moment the entire region awaits Germanys response to the new cry for independence.
NEW GOVERNMENT IN JORDAN. Amman, Jordan. The leader of the Jordanian nation died this year, as Matta al-Hashim passed away of apparent heart failure. Sabir al-Fulan, a leading general has secured power with the passing of the old regime, a popular cabal of general and business leaders backing the change. Though the calls for independence in Palestine could prove to see the rise of an independent Jordan as well, al-Fulan has continued to protest against it until a German response is seen.
BALUCHESTAN ELECTIONS. Zahedan, Baluchestan. The Baluch Conservative Party has managed to gain incredible loyalty from the people of Baluchestan. The elections this year were easily dominated by the conservatives, as the Liberal Party failed to find a strong candidate to oppose them. The Conservative Party has promised to protect Balucestan against the rising threat from the new Persian government. It is hoped war will be avoided, but the Baluch military will stand prepared and vigilant.
CONGRESS OF ARABISTAN AFFIRMS PRESIDENT. Ahvaz, Arabistan. The Congress of Arabistan has reaffirmed the standing rights of President for Life Amin Ohkovat. President Ohkovat has been confirmed as the nations absolute leader and protector in an unanimous vote by congress. The rule of the government seems to be strong and willing to deal with new threats. Among these, the growth of Persian militarism reigns supreme. Ohkovat has pledged to protect his nation against the threat of Persian invasion. (+1 Stability)
TREATY ENDS REBELLIONS IN MIDDLE EAST. Ankara, Ottoman Empire. The war between the Kurds and Syrians and the Ottoman Empire has at last been brought to an end. Pressure from within and military defeats on the field have brought the Ottomans to the negotiating table. The Ottoman Empire immediately recognized the independence of Kurdistan, which had been won on the battlefield but was more reluctant to allow the independence of Syria. After harsh negotiating, the Syriac Union was forcibly disbanded under Kurdish and Ottoman influence in favor of a single Syria. The Christian leadership was forced to step down as a plebiscite was held to determine the countrys fate. When elections arrived, Muslims and Christians alike voted for the creation of a new republic, and the first elections are slated to be held next year. (+3 Stability for all involved)

MUTINY IN CHINESE MILITARY. Lanzhou, Republic of China. While a large number of people have indeed gone home in the wake of the defeat of the Union of Chinese Collectives, the Chinese military has continued to need more for the new war against the warlord of Sinkiang. The new war has proven highly unpopular as people were hoping for a time of peace. Those who had renewed their enlistments in hopes of being part of reconstruction activities were the angriest and open revolt soon entered into the Chinese armys ranks. A major mutiny has taken place, starting fighting within the ranks. Government forces have ordered a crackdown on the mutineers, and many have been killed or have fled into the countryside to return home. (-39 Infantry Brigades, -5 Artillery Brigades, -1 Stability)
CHINESE ELECTIONS. Lanzhou, Republic of China. The Chinese government once again held elections, this time with a nation at peace. Before the war erupted against Sinkaing, the Chinese government found ways to get as many involved with the election process as possible. Using symbols rather than a written language upon the ballots has enabled many of the more illiterate peasants to vote for their favored candidate. The lack of issues or useful voting majority has led to many picking Dong Feng Rong once again, bringing him back into office as President of China. His successes during the war have led him to acquire a large amount of support both among the people and military. His support may wane however with the new war just as everyone thought peace was at hand.
FIGHTING RENEWS IN CHINA. Urumqi, Sinkiang. The Republican government of China has determined that all of the sinosphere must be unified under a single leadership once again. To this end, a major offensive has been launched against the warlord of Sinkiang, who came under extensive criticism for his attacks on the Islamic community. The warlord commands unusual loyalty from his soldiers and has been making preparations ever since the imperial government launched the war. Twenty years of fortifications and planning were sufficient to halt the onslaught almost as soon as it began. Mutinies within the ranks of the Republican military and the massive lines of fortifications within Sinkiangs borders have greatly slowed the offensive, as the warlord of Sinkiang prepares to fight to the end. Many wonder how well the Republicans can do in this stage of the conflict, devastated by war and without any more reserves of soldiers to shoulder the blood price of violence.

REPUBLIC OF CHINA POSTS REWARD FOR INFORMATION. Lanzhou, Republic of China. The Chinese government has issued a reward for the capture or information leading to the capture of the leaders of the former Union of Chinese Collectives. The vast majority of the leadership escaped the Republican net at Yancheng and is believed to still be at large. The republican government hopes to round up these dangerous individuals before they can cause more damage to the Chinese nation. Some evidence has suggested that the individuals have fled the country, but there has been no information to when and how this was achieved.

They discover that although war is tough, what they are fighting for is worth it. The movie ends with Jean-Jacques Dessalines discussing peace with France and then after winning Haiti's independence he is crowned the first Emperor of Haiti. Setting is 18th and 19th century Haiti during the Haitian Revolution.

Summary: This is a documentary about the formation of the early Russian Duma and democracy. This section of the documentary covers the start of the Venetian War which ultimately brought about reform in the Russian system. It covers the slow shift to democracy and the resounding effects of the reforms of Tsar Alexander I. This has been lauded for the depiction of the tsar and the extreme dedication to historical accuracy which has been undertaken by the filming staff.

AMERICAN CUP. Houston, Texan Republic. The final game this year in the American Cup came between an established Texan team and a powerful Virginian one. Richmond played against Houston after losing only a single game the entire season. Houston had a touch and go season, after losing one of their finest young players to a crashed automobile accident. The Texan team recovered from this setback and won a crushing victory over Richmond for the American Cup finale. The final score of the game was a devastating four to one against the Virginian team, which has returned home in humiliation.
EUROPEAN CUP. Vienna, German Republic. The final game for this year came down once again between a French team and a German one. Though the nations favorites were the Munich Football Club, they were soundly defeated by the Vienna team this year, sending forth Austrians to represent the German Republic against France. The French Paris Football Club, returning yet again to the final cup, was once again defeated by the Germans. The Vienna Football Club won a close victory with three points to the French teams two points.
SOCIALIST LEAGUE. Montevideo, Socialist Union of South America. As in previous years, the state of the Socialist Football League has been greatly weighted toward the Socialist Union of South America. Providing improved funding to teams for stadiums and training has clearly left a mark as the teams of the Union easily dominated all foreign contenders. Most people within the Socialist International Cooperative Group have turned from local teams to root for their favorite teams from the Union as they continue with bitter disappointment. This year Montevideo has once again smashed Rio de Janeiro in a two to one game.

@Haseri: Im assuming that comics are already out in the market, my theory was that theyd come out during the Great Depression as a form of escapism. Since we had the depression early, weve had other things come early as well.
I was not as kind on specialization this time as the previous time. If you had not spend a certain amount in tech research in the right fields, you have lost your specialization. There have also been a number of switches and changes for those who did possess a specialization, as some people have been brought over to another specialization thanks to a large amount of research in that field. Consistency in research is more important than sheer amounts and that has been taken into account as well. Sending money to other countries for research does not help you in any way. For those interested, a changing in specializations also means that it could have affected your military quality in specific fields for better or worse.
@Bombshoo: youre asking for quite a lot of effort in your reconstruction, hence the hefty cost. I have said that its going to take until at least the 1950s to recover things totally. Also 1 EP for the millions of veterans out there is hardly a drop of whats needed.
Level 1 of Tank Development is now considered to be common knowledge thanks to increasing proliferation of the tech.
