The President sat behind his desk staring out at the city of New Caen, military forces were rolling through town preparing the defenses of New Caen, anti aircraft guns littered the outskirts of town and several blocks around the new Olympic Stadium. He sighed, then turned to his desk and glanced at the paper in front of him, it was a draft by his Generals, his signature was all that was needed, the future of his people now rested in his hands. The date: June 24th 1939.

He picked up his pen and hesitated, unsure of whether these defenses would be enough or if he would need more. Sighing, he signed his name, it was now official.

It would be the biggest gamble New France would ever attempt and the President prayed silently that it would work. His Generals poured thousands of hours in planning and logistics, scouting and preparing, and it will all come down to one week. One week to determine success or failure of a campaign.
