I can say from experience that any French Intervention only makes matters worse. Any Metis land should legally be the property of the Government of Quebec, and I strongly urge all North American Powers to consider our side. Most North American nations seem to forget the fact that not long ago, Quebec was only miles from touching the great Pacific Ocean. That land was legally acquired through purchase and exploration, not through warfare. And since then that land was unfairly taken from its ideal owners, Quebec.

Quebec has also shown its incompetence in governing itself through its history. Having intentionally started a war that caused the deaths of millions is proof enough that Quebec has no claim to the Metis.

Yes. But if France is willing to help negotiate a peace, than why not let him try? We are not supporting the intervention of French forces anywhere on the continent, but if they can use any soft power they may have in the Metis to get a peace treaty, why not let them try?

Actually, your claims are false. It was the Canadian government who intentionally broke into a Quebec Jail and released several dangerous criminals. Jean Hobelle simply declared war on Canada to prove Quebec is NOT a nation that can be pushed around. It was the foreign powers that turned the dispute into a World War. Any leader in that position would have the same solution.

Quebec WILL get justice and WILL be reimbursed with their rightful lands.

I strongly advice you to change your course of action. Does it really help your nation to defend a minor illegitimate nation? No it does not. In fact the UNCA will not change one bit if Metis land was acquired by Quebec. The only change would be that you acquire a strong ally in the North.

The Hobelle Despotate had initially set out to ethnically cleanse the west of its native population, then, as the war began to turn against them, withdrew its forces despite Métis willingness to raise a militia in its support.

The Québecois have long shown themselves to care not about the Métis people, but about our land, and this seems to be little different. Rule by fellow francophones is superior to rule by the genocidally-inclined Canada First party, but neither option is attractive to us.
