After a little work, I can get her to change direction at will. The trick is to look at her hips, rather than her foot / head.

heh heh, I love it.

Zues's trick works though, I can get her to switch by focusing on the hips alone.

I can make the dancer change directions by making clockwise or counterclockwise movements with my hand while closing my eyes momentarily.

Staring at the shadow at the bottom also helps.
