A New Dawn Beta Builds

Alpha 1 of 1.74 has been uploaded it. It doesn't differ much from 1.73G (so if you are looking for a stable game, go away!) except that the Better RoM improvement changes are included. Because that's the primary testing focus, all players must install Better RoM.

You didn't come for many days, I really miss you guy. I will join the test at soon.

Did you pass all your classes? I hope so.

Your amount of time spent on Modding had to seriously eat into your academic work load time.

I'd much rather hear you have earned a Degree from college than a rep as a Great Modder. Priorities.

A possible bug an 1.74 alpha, I can build every civic building no matter what my civics are.

Yeah, I already saw that, and have a fix. These are alpha builds for a reason. ;)
 
For some reason I am getting Civic buildings that should not be active yet. Such as "Monument to the Dictator". It has no tech requirements to I get it at the beginning of the game. It only seems to come up when it asks you what you want next. But when you pick in city mode its not a choice. Te same happens to be for other Civics that you disable but I included in HAND. I first thought, "oh maybe its a HAND bug" but I took all of HAND out and just ran it with 1.74 alpha and it still did it!

Needless to say alpha has broken <PrereqAndCivics> for both AND and HAND.

Where can I find what will be included in the Improved Vassalage and the Economy Modmod? Is there a link that explains what they will offer the player?
 
In the game installed by the installer from SVN, Revision 154, some art icons are missing (pink), for example : galley, healer's hut, coal plant, V1 missile, etc. It looks like an art define file has not been updated correctly.

And there is another bug: sometimes the game will crash when turn on the World Editor by Ctrl + W.

Should I use the installer from main downloading thread instead of SVN?

That's your computer running out of RAM, not a bug.

No, I couldn't find that "Improved Art" folder by searching tools, both under my SVN folder and game's mod folder. Did you upload it?

And for the crash bug when turn on World Editor, I don't think that's a out of mem problem. I played a standard map, and it crashed at the first turn. You should know that I never get an out memory crash even play a huge map in the transhuman era. ( I have 4GB system memory and 1G video memory. )

As for the other problem, I know about the WB crash, I've experienced it myself, but I can never reproduce it with Visual Studio attached, so I can't debug it.
 
Wrong area, should have been in normal New Dawn area, sorry) Its just that sometimes CFC is so slooow (Lately) that it doesnt pick up where you pointed sometimes)

Yes, All the files under the ImprovedArt folder were installed. But I check out the SVN from the path "Trunk", not the path "Branches\A New Dawn 1.74\". Is it OK?

If you and other guys have not this icon problem, just ignore my report, maybe it's another non-synchronized SVN problem.

I believe what Afforess is trying to say are these:
  • Branch/1.74 is the test path for 1.74.
  • While Trunk is the actual 1.73 updated to the latest patch.

patch 1.73 H introduced some problems to me, on loading the screen froze, or after the loading the UI didnt load, with patch G that didn't happen!

Try a fresh install? I actually used the latest Patch executor file to patch my game to H after the first H patch from download page caused no interface problem. That download page's Patch H since then had been updated with that same latest H.

So all I can is to try a fresh clean install of RoM 2.91, AND 1.73, then Patch H. If you still have the problem, report back but in Bugs and Feedback thread :).
