Stoopid question:

In preparation for the chilling northerly winds that Britain is expected to endure this winter, I would like to check out a cossack hat and matching jacket.

Any ideas where I might find this?

Still, it's only good if you know what you are looking for, and I don't :p

I could have sworn that said cassock rather than cossack :crazyeye:
No thanks

So that's what a cossck hat looks like...

I have a strange feeling.... like I want to go to russia...

I would love to tour the Red Square some day :)

Why would a cossack wear something like that? They (as in the cossack culture) were wiped out by the communists. :p

It seems that the cossacks wore round fur hats of different "fluffity".

Yeah, thats one smiling cossack, alright.

Yeah, I own a couple.
Try army surplus stores (though could be slightly more expensive if they're proper Soviet ones, witht eh insignia, made from rabbit fur), or car-boot sales. But surplus stores are your best chance.

Ok, that was weird.
I was checking this forum diagonally, and I didn't read the "ssa" in this topic title. Odd moment, I can guarantee you that.

This is a cossack hat! They varied in time...

What you might want to get is ushanka which is really useful for winter. I can't send you mine, they don't sell them in the West :)

What stormbind means, I expect, is not the Stovepipe type Cossack hat, but the Soviet style Ushanka.
