[RD] Abortion, once again

Yah exactly. Where else am I going to say this crap? I've spent years cultivating the most boring workplace persona in order to survive, so where else am I going to be remotely authentic about how everything is really actually quite messed up and awful except where it doesn't matter?

Personally bom expecting bthongs to get worse. Been brewing for a while.

Worse for who Zardnaar? White, straight, cis men?

Mate this is ground zero of human rights, denying bodily autonomy is the kind of **** that dictatorships and theocracies do

It doesn't get much worse

Jesus, just a complete lack of understanding of where American minorities and women are atm

I was referring to the state of the world. In no particular order.

1. Housing bubble popping here.
2. War in Europe expanding.
3. Economic collapse in China
4. Worldwide recession/inflation.
5. Nuclear Detonation in Europe.
6. WW3.

Internal American politics low down on the list.

We all understand that Zardnaar is the new fun toy here.

The cynical "realist" telling people to vote in a system fundamentally broken, rather than take up actiom lmao

Well you can't change the system legally you don't have 75% of the votes.

The rules are clear.

Seems if this drives enough support in mid terms (idk find out later) packing the court seems to be the best way.

Of course when GoP wins they can do the same thing.

God forbid that was your daughter or wife who was in danger of dying during pregnancy or was assaulted, because its not just abortion they'll be restricting; it'll be hrt, it'll be contraceptives.

If that was one of your own, dying during pregnancy because the supreme court decided that your wife's, your daughter's, your granddaughter's body was theirs alone to control and that their lives were inherently worth less than that of a fetus who might not even make it would you be calmly, unflappably advocating for voting or would you be absolutely livid and pissed off to the point of wanting to take direct action

Show me that you grasp the magnitude of the situation or whether this is just another debate for you to ponder over

Image doesn't show for me...

:twitch: thanks

1000

What is "vote" going to do for the person with an ectopic pregnancy who can't afford to travel to a separate country, not state but a separate country to access a safe abortion

So abortion should only be allowed for cases in which the life of the mother is in danger or pregnancies resulting from sexual assault? Or are you just using outliers to argue for allowing all abortions?

I made the decision not to have kids in 1996. Not hard to use contraception. Figured the world would go to crap back then.

You appear to be laboring under the illusion that it's anyone's business but the person who is making the decision to have an abortion

See, I'm not a fan of forcing people to give birth when they don't want to, not so sure about you though, feel free to clarify!

You just don't get it and you simply have no desire to put yourself in the shoes of an American hearing that their bodily autonomy is now under threat by a supreme Court that the average person has no way of holding to account by voting

Just a complete indifference marked by an ideological desire to maintain the political and social status quo if it means doing nothing but uttering useless, trite and ultimately non effective advice

I want change just disagree on how to do it.

In USA that means rearguard action and wait 10-20 years. The goals are not achieveable in the short term.
