ALC Game #24: Hammurabi/Babylon

We've had a pretty cool summer here, but its rained pretty much every day. All of those little thunderstorms popping up...it's really weird.

A really, really wet summer.

And now we'll probably get a winter with 5 feet of snow :(

Pretty mild around where I live, mostly 70s and low 80s. At least not the 90s like normal, with the 90% humidity.

Summer's been nice here, until last week when a giant lizard popped up from out of the sea and fought some kind of giant moth creature in the middle of the city. They pretty much wrecked half of downtown, so the microbrew festival had to be canceled until next year. Dang.

Tech path for the next round. Engineering->Guilds->Gunpowder->Chemistry->Scimeth->Physics->Electricity->Air Conditioning

I believe refrigeration is a pre-req for Air Conditioning, its been a while since I ran that gambit though

:lol::lol:

And that's just the way we like it; making us work for our education!

I was under the impression that this was also about entertainment and building community for civ addicts. But strategy and tips -- sure, i respect that.

And much cooler day: the rain returned to the Pacific NW.

There's a reason why Education costs so much more than the techs that come before it. It's not that Education has so much more to learn than Paper; it's that you have to also invest beakers into intramural sports, sororities, and off topic discussions.

I'm quite glad it's not raining where I am at the moment; humidity always skyrockets around that time.

What about making comments that the ALC should not be about showcasing traits, UBs, and UUs?:mischief:

I'm getting ideas as to how a "CF Strategy Forum" mod will look. Sis appearing as a great prophet in the modern era post-refrigeration and only after the city has built AC... Immortal University random event where you can choose between beakers towards education or Rusten settling in one of your cities, making its courthouse an equivalent of a sacrificial altar...

It's typical english weather over in england. Rain, rain and . . . wow, rain. Just when you go out thinking it's cleared up, it pours on you, and you are forced into a tactical retreat back under a roof.

Oh well, more time to play Civ.
What about the Olympics? Civ has pretty much been on hold for me since they started because of the creaking sounds when my computer tries to run both windowed Civ IV and the BBC live feed in tandem. So that's my excuse...

Seriously, Sisi, don't rush it. I'm sure we've all got better things to do anyway...haven't we...?

BLASPHEMY. I am upset that you have fallen under the sway of a heathen religion.
