Altered Flags I: Red Stars everywhere!

May as well stop lurking this thread and contribute. Here's a hypothetical flag for if New Zealand left the Commonwealth and/or became a republic:

Basic, I know, but I'm too tired to be very creative.

New Zealand becomes depressed?

The stars are supposed to be white, but it looked kind of flat if I did that. Black and white are the national sporting colours, among other things.

BUMP WITH FLAG.

This is a Mansa Musa-era flag of Mali made for AP World homework. I was so proud of it, that I wanted to post it.

You get homework in your AP World class?

Is anyone interested in designing a 21st century Byzantine Empire flag? Not of an alternate timeline, just of RL when (in the future) Greece has become the Byzantine Empire again.

very crude, very obvious flag and I have no doubt Nedim's first try will be better. Thinking some more on it.

Yes, that is the idea Nedim :)

Mayor: Actually i like it, in its simplicity it seems natural. Keeping something of the old flag, and then the BBBB emblem (it would need to be a restored monarchy though i guess, Basileus and all that) :)

It was the first thing that came to mind.

And yeah, I don't hate it (otherwise I wouldn't have posted it) but I'm not fully convinced.

I found this modern byzantine empire flag at AltHistory.com:

I do not particularly like it, but it was the first find. I guess there are many more around :)

That one I do hate....

to busy and to many colours that don't really work together, plus the eagle is hardly visible.

EDIT: what is the meaning of the sign that is in the right lower/left higher corner?

I can't see it?

That is supposed to be the joke. Not a good one though ;)

As for the symbol, i am not sure. I thought it was the "En touto Nika" gram, but that i now read is the one known widely as the Christogram.
