is it compatible with 1.3, lastone? I mean, does it require the NA and/or IN?

There are previous versions compatable for NA, but they stopped updating stuff for IN.

Actually, the next version of WWM is going to be made for HTTT and the project I assume will be dropped for IN afterwards as well.

But it is a great mod though, It adds so much diversity that MM2 IMO can't.

If I said this map was of Europe in January 1876, how many mistakes do I have to correct?

Romania and Egypt should still be Ottoman, and Tyrol should still be Austrian.

Romania was a tributary state, NOT a part of the Ottoman Empire. I know you're thinking of the war of independence of 1878, which would be 2 years later than the map, but Romania and, before its formation, Wallachia and Moldova, were never an integral part of the Ottoman Empire, apart from short occupations during wars. The Danube was always the border.

Yes, you will find a million maps that include it as part of the Ottoman Empire. That doesn't make it true by any stretch of the word. The maps you should trust are either the ones that don't include the Romanian states (and Crimea, and some other places) as part of the Ottoman Empire, or the ones that do include them but mention that what they are representing is the "Ottoman Empire AND it's vassals/tributaries".

Including Romania inside the Ottoman Empire in 1876 is like including East Germany inside the Soviet Union. Actually, that's a great comparison, now that I think about it. :p

Yeah, aronnax, fix that whole GERMANY SHOULD EXIST thing, fix Silesia cause it looks disgusting, fix Montenegro instead of giving it to Austria-Hungary, take away Istria and Trieste from Italy, and there's no way in hell Yerevan belongs to the Ottoman Empire (it just had Kars).

the "East cantons" (the German-speaking area between Liege and Aachen) only became part of Belgium after WWI.
Also the subdivisions of Belgium and The Netherlands don't make any sense, but I guess that goes for the other countries too?
Speaking about the Netherlands: The "afsluitdijk" shouldn't be on the map (the IJssel lake was still the Zuider sea then...) and Flevoland and the North East Polder were only reclaimed from the sea in the 20th century.

Oh, okay then.

Although that raises the question of why the vassal state of Montenegro IS a part of the Ottoman Empire on that map, and Egypt should certainly not be independent.

Also, Alsace and Lorraine were part of Germany in 1876.

Whoops.... I was trying to create a pre-Germany Map. I guess I confused 1876 with 1871.... Okay... Due to the pre-drawn internal borders, what should Silesia look like?

Yeah, those aren't real subdivisions, I just found some map with the internal borders already cut-up. Not too keen on editing the map...

Egypt was de facto independent. Istanbul had no authority over Egypt and even warred with it twice.
I'll go fix Montenegro.

Okay... Fresh from the Oven

1864

1876

Looks better now, although depending on WHEN it is in 1864 more specifically, either it should be how it is now, or Prussia and Austria should own Schleswig-Holstein or the UK should own the Ionian Islands.

You must mean Prussia or Denmark. And always assume it as January 1 1864 unless specified.

Ah Yes! Ionian Islands...
