I recently "discovered" the race I seem to have a good synergy with, that being Alexis led Calabim. Yay for me and all that.
Anyways, I seem to now have the unstoppable compulsion of naming ALL my vampires. What's worse is I will often wait a bit on choosing a name until some deed makes them stand out a bit. A vamp who was too afraid to attack a wraith gets named Gerrard the Maggot Heart. A vamp that stays up north feasting for a larger number of turns (because those peasants are oh so good) gets name The Bloody Barron of the North. I'm a tad worried that before long I'll start writing short stories of their exploits. I'm worried that this might be some sort of entry drug into the darker parts of fan fiction and, should the condition go untreated, lead to possible Larping. Keeps me up at night with worry....

I dunno about the naming vampires part but the Lore forum has multiple people who write not-so-short stories about things like this. Don't know if that helps or not, but at least you can be assured that you won't be unusual -here- for doing that.

Heh accidentally walked into a LARP prep area at Gen Con the year I went. Had 60 people staring at me since I was the only one not wearing armor. I backed pretty quickly out of that room.

Heh My RL last name is Walker, so for the first 6 months of my wifes pregnancy I threatened to name our boy Luke Sky while she was still knocked out with all the dope. (of course I didn't I AM still married)

Oh and back on topic for me..

After I have no doupt that I will win the game I will add a unit from the Would Builder and Give them Hero with a few promos and rampage whats left of the world. Usually I will name them for old CRPGs from my past games.

I usually name a large number of my units when playing LAN games with my roommate (he takes forever between turns, and it passes the time). One time I had an entire army named after characters from The Big Lebowski... was pretty fun to rampage with.

i sometimes name one of my victorious units, like "destroyer of the sheaim" or "surviver of two giant spiders".
its a fun feature and hey, you even get an event that does it (hero of the sword or something).
