The Aff4 units could use some more imaginative conceptualization and a little blurb that tells newbies how to use them. Right now, they're just straight up strong and that's not a particularly interesting thing for them to be. Something interesting about CNDRs might be an inherent +50% Combat Strength when Fortified. That squares with their flavor text. That wouldn't be bad on a slightly lower base Combat Strength (say 34?).
The flavor text for Battlesuit implies that they need Floatstone. One of the worst things about Battlesuit Slingshot is that it only needs Titanium which makes it easy and nearly effortless to acquire. Adding 1 Floatstone makes each Battlesuit much more precious and requires a significant detour to Terraforming, while also requiring not only 2 Resources, but 2 different kinds of Resources. It might be good to keep the Combat Strength but add something like "-10% for each unused Movement Point." This drawback means that Battlesuits are strongest when they're always moving, always on the attack.
XenoSwarms aren't so bad, but they're the least flavorful out of all the units in CivBE, including the vanilla units! They're stronger in Miasma. Cute, but kind of hard to use and not particularly enjoyable. A tad lower Combat Strength could be paired with something flavorful like "treats unimproved Forest tiles as road." This allows them remarkably mobility in unimproved wild lands.
My biggest wish is for an "auto renew" button that you can toggle on/off for trade routes. In the mid game when I have all my trade routes set up just right, I want to be able to forget them and not have to click "previous route" endlessly every other turn.
Has this been submitted to Steam for approval or does 2k have to approve first? On one hand, it sounds like Steam which means a patch on Friday. Steam usually takes less than 24 hrs for patch approvals. If someone else has to approve first, like 2k, then who knows and this is just another "hey guys we're closer to patching than we were last time we spoke about this."
I doubt it'd come out Friday. I'm guessing the patch is almost ready from the dev's perspective, meaning they still need to finish it before submission.
Tomorrow is Thanksgiving in the US and not everyone works the day after, either.

Plus, even if it is submitted for approval, if it's 2K approval, you never know what random thing QA might stumble upon... (not that that's a bad thing - that's what QA and approvals are for, but Murphy's law and all that).
I hope the final changelog will be more detailed than this, especially the balance part. "In general we had improved units, some sponsors, virtues, tweaked health and trade" sounds fine as a patch promo, but isn't very informative.
