  • Remove uninitialized variable from CvUnit - caused a rare bug where units would be allowed to upgrade for infinite promotions with no XP.
  • Tweak minor civs to declare war on any new civs they meet after their initial foundation.
 
Revision 883: The Hunting Module

Hunting mechanics
  • Killing animal units results in yields of food and hammers or a Captured Animal unit
  • 6 prey animals: Boar, Bull, Elephant, Ram, Stag, Stallion
  • Captured versions of all animals (except Pack of Lions)
  • 5 new buildings: Myth of the Beast, Myth of the Hero, Myth of the Sea, Menagerie, Zoo

Other changes:
  • Palisade cost reduced from 25 to 20
  • Accelerator changed from +10% commerce with Power to flat +5% commerce (building shuts down without Power)
  • District Court, Supreme Court reduced prerequisite building count by 1
  • Via Appia deleted Paved Roads requirement
  • Pleistocene Park, Dinosaur Park reduced Cloning Laboratory prerequisite count by 1 and added equal Zoo prerequisite count

DLL Modders: There is a note in Civ4MissionInfos.xml stating Changes must be reflected in CvEnums.h. The two new missions MISSION_BUTCHER and MISSION_HERD need to be added. They were working for me in testing. Can someone please add these for me?

  • Fixed MAD Nukes, now AI correctly target and re-target its nukes

With this change AI finally knows how to target nukes to enemy civs. It will anyway keep some nukes not pretargeted, just in case someone else is attacking unexpectedly. Also 10% of the nukes every turn will be re-targeted (target might change or not).

This seems very C2C... what brought this on?

There is a ton of C2C in AND and vice versa as well. This was included to help early Ancient Era from being rather lifeless. Of course, by all means, ask Vokarya directly and don't take my word as gospel please. :)

I like hunting module. Early game is a bit empty on slower game speeds.

Could you check why advanced cargo mod shows wrong cargo space numbers in game some situations? For example fusion cruiser with full extra cargo space promotions..

I've tried it in the last couple of days, I personally think it's OK. Not much micromanagement, just a little push to improve your exploring experience in ancient era when all you have to do is more or less wandering hoping to find some goody hut. Also being able to plant some animal resource was something I had in mind for a long time. I think it's a nice feature.

You dont need specific save game, just test and see for your self. Unit with 2 or more special cargo ability and extra cargo space promotion is the situation where this error can be seen.

Yeah, I recall I've tested and it's true but I haven't had time to look at the code yet.

I clearly haven't paid any attention to it. Open a thread, explain the bug, and provide a save. I will address it ASAP.
