Your crashes are always caused by that problem of the civ not being killed completely. What I don't understand is why that civ doesn't get killed when you conquer their last city. You don't have "Require complete kill" activated, do you? Can you check it for me in your game with Ctrl+Shift+Q and looking if that option is selected? Thank you again oldnooob :)

This happens in every game I've played, and I've checked in each of them - Require Complete Kills is disabled every time.

*Edit* But that was checking the WOld Builder save file afterwards, I'll try with Ctrl-Shift-Q and see if that yields some other result.
*Edit 2* Double checked, it's disabled in both the games I have going - the latter I haven't killed off any AI's yet, the former... I can't recall if I killed an AI and had them stick around, but if I see it happen again I'll bring it up and see if it's enabled (I've NEVER checked this option before, and I always double-check my options before starting a game now since I've forgotten to check Early Buildings or disable Useable Mountains and Realistic Corporations so many times xD I hate Realistic Corporations soooo much. Really don't want that to become mandatory ><)

I got a simple question.

I've tried installing rise of mankind AND 2 via svn and also the new checker/installer.

But if I load the mod, i get the same screen with the same gameplay options and civilopedia

with the vanilla civ 4 beyond sword.

Should I install rise of mankind 2.92 to solve the problem?

I suggested that solution in an earlier post. However, I posted another minidump from 4 or 5 turns later when I had yet another crash when there was NO stragglers from dead civs. I looked into WB to check for sure.
Ok, Let us start from scratch Please. Here is the savegame one turn before the CURRENT CRASH. Which came three turns after the crash you were investigating yesterday. I agree that crashes in this V857 are caused by the "undead" but I have searched WB and killed off all of them two turns before the current crash. Here is the current crash evidence. I checked for complete kills setting it is off. I believe this crash is from some other cause.

No you shouldn't. Did you apply the patch 3.19 against beyond the sword ?

Did you start the game with that revision or did you start with a previous rev and moved to 854 during a game? Sounds like this is what was happening. Nothing you can do for this game but before you start your next one, delete civilization.ini and .bak

It was a completely new game, started fresh in the upgraded mod. I turned off Dynamic XP and Battlefield Promotions to see if this helps, but I haven't played long enough yet to see if that really works.

I have an idea of what the problem of settling on peak is, its not displaying a fresh water bonus for peaks.

Spoiler :

In this game I have built the Machu Picchu world wonder. So it gives +1 gold for all owned peaks, but it gives no fresh water bonus.

Solution - Re-enable the fresh water bonuses for peaks.

Wait...wait... I am just catching up here. Can someone re-explain the problem with settling on peaks? I am not following the conversation.

@45, Have you had time to look into the ctd I posted above? I have not been able to get past that point in my game. I do not want to start a new game only to find the same problem.

For some reason, we can't... That's really it. The peaks have fresh water, are not on desert or tundra, we have Algebra, but we can't build on peaks. Unfourtunately, I don't have a save near that point because I assumed I was just missing something, but apparently not.

Here's the latest save, svn 856, its an auto save.

The attempted peak settlement is SW of Circassian.

My Hypothesis is that because no fresh water bonus is showing, its an invalid city site.

Some how the fresh water bonus has been removed. Or its been added as a city site requirement.

As per the Picture, you can't build a city there. I have Algebra, I have the hammer access, and I world built Michu Picchu out, didn't change anything.

Yes I my civ4 is fully patched to 3.19

I installed rise of mankind 2.92 for comparison, and the mod works perfectly

However, a new dawn doesn't work. Everything remains same as the vanila

after loading. What could be the problem? Plus, any way I could get the original

installer exe file for ROM AND instead of svn?

Just read the post in the main download thread.

Please remove any previous version of RoM or AND before installing the latest version

@hoon9732: Completely offtopic but, is Civ 4 translated in korean ?

@45: There is a xml text to fix:

Does removing mean deleting the ROM folder in the Mods folder?

If that is, I've done it. I tried installation through both svn and installer, and each

time I deleted the previously existing ROM folder.

Still trying deleting and re-installing. It takes a lot of time to load ROM as it originally

should, but after a long waiting I get the same screen and options with the

vanila civ 4 :-(

Did you checked "load mod with the game" in the launcher options ?

There is a korean patch for the 1.75 c version of ROM AND in the major korean civ

community. But nobody seems to update it any more.

Actually, I'd be glad to translate if I know how to. :)

Thank you so much for the help! And thank you for the launcher!

Sorry, but what is the 'load mod with the game' option?

Are you mentioning the launcher you made or the Bts.exe file?

I mean in the launcher options. Start it -> options -> load the mod with the game.

I think it will make it default on the next version. It makes more sense.

Could you give me a link to this patch ? Actually, the patch is developped on european/US versions, so other languages are not supported by default. That said, i've developped a tool to extend the support to other languages (only used for russian at the moment). If you agree, i will ask you to send me some files of your setup so i can study how the game handle korean.

I see 'Autostart the mod with the game'.

I have been loading the mod manually after executing the Civ4Beyondsword.exe directly

For some reason, the launcher won't do anything after clicking 'Lauch Civilization IV'

Came up with another problem... Sorry
