I know, it happens. I forgot about this bug but it only kinda works when you apply enough pressure and a rebel faction appears. Sometimes another civ is spawned and that works. But when the target city is asking to join your civ, it doesn't work [emoji20]

I can always look into it.

I can always look into it.
Yes please, I've tried a million times to solve this one but without success. We've spoken about it when you solved the bug about releasing colony cities, when the last founded city wasn't being released. Then I think I forgot about it.

Where did all the citizens of this AI city go??

I was making some trouble for my neighbour with spies, and noticed that in this AI city there are no tiles worked and no specialists... but only one angy citizen, and the city itself is not in revolt.

I see that the city is using nine food, so I would presume that two citizens are employed by buildings. They must be very loyal to their employers, as they're going to starve rather than go out and work in the fields... :crazyeye:

I've noticed that too in Debug mode on some cities but I thought it was a display bug (because production ins't always displayed in Debug for the AI).

So here is a Roman city that I have just captured. IMMEDIATLY after the last defender died the city became surrounded by someone else's territory. V 904

Could you check the tile culture of the ennemy ? I think it should already have tried to capture the city and got culture by battle.

No. You'll see that by moving your mouse on a tile next to the city. But I'm quite sure it's due to battles. In a few turns, you should be able to slowly regain territory.

Yeah, that is what I wrote above.

But get this, I changed the tile ownership in WB a couple of minutes ago and then the screen went to another area and when I came back the tiles had reverted back to Mongolian already in the same turn!

Are you sure you understand the issue? the tile ownership changed at the edn of the battle for the city. there were NO other turns. So there were no other attacks or battles and Italy is not at war with Mongolia.

I abandoned the city in the picture above and founded a new city and please look at the odd tile arrangement I got. Something is not right. Just compare the picture above and this one.

Could you send me the savegame please ? I'll look into that.

AFAIK this is correct and working as intended. Your other neighbour's culture was overwhelming but your opponent probably had fixed borders to keep them away. You don't, so since you don't have any culture yet, you're the one being overwhelmed. Looking forward at the second picture, you are already catching up, play on.

Moreover, I don't why, but I can't load your savegame. It crashes at "Setup map".

I have some bug 2 days ago. Make sure you have steam-beta-unsupported version (if you use steam) and reset your mod in launcher "Menu -> Fix installation" :)

I tried this solution and it broke something badly. Civ IV wouldn't even open, just crash when it started loading.

I removed the mod and reinstalled it and everything was fine. Thats how computers are.

Thanks for your quick help.

Updated to 906.

On loading the mod I get an error:

ArtInfo: 'CITY_BILLBOARDS' was not found

and then

ArtInfo: ERROR was not found ()

and then it crashes.

Yes, updated from 904 to 906.

but I solved the problem myself: just downloaded the whole content of xml\art from the repository and that was it.

The launcher injects a parameter in this file whether you use default or non-default language. It seems to have corrupted the file. It often corrupts your files and I don't understand why as others don't have this kind of problem.
