AND2 and SVN Bug Reports - A New Dawn 2 ONLY

I get the same error on the civopedia, I can only access the listings by going through the specific listing, ie National wonders, world wonders, units, etc.

If I try to use the index, it gives out this error, and only shows the 3, A index listing.

Spoiler :

Also, my current game seems to be not releasing the screen at about 1055/6 AD in either summer or winter.

Spoiler :

That was me trying auto play for the turn.

I've attached the game, Giagantic map, Eternity speed, 24 Civ's (I can only count 23 it seems). I've tried to play from numerous auto saves, but all seem to get into an eternal loop at same point.

Attaching the debdg and error logs for python.

Can't do a crash dump, as Linux won't run civ with that option enabled.

As I see that you are using the Atotozli leader of the Aztecs, I have assumed that you have installed the Mega Civ Pack. I downloaded your autosave and I have passed the turn smoothly.

When they offered me reconfigure the game according changes in assets and dll, I guess because of using a different version of AND or because of other submods present in my installation, I said no to avoid problems.

I have established an embassy with Theodora and I refused to pay gold to contact with Jayavarman. There has also been an event in which the theater was burned, and I have paid to rebuild it. Everything works fine on my pc.

Today or tomorrow I'll upload a patch with many fixes and changes in the Mega Civ Pack, plus new leaders for existing civilizations and alternative leaderheads, maybe interests you know. :)

You don't need Mega Civ Pack to play with Atotozli, it's a default leader AFAIK.

My fault. I just checked the list of new leaders and Atotozli is not one of them. My head is a mess. Dozens of new leaders and dozens of civilizations more. It will blow my head! :crazyeye::lol:

Anyway, in my previous post has the save to the next turn after his CTD. I could pass to the next turn smoothly.;)

It must have had a problem with my system, in spawing out a new rebel in Jayaravaraman. I remember one of the debug logs saying it couldn't find available rebels, but I've seen that before and its played on fine.

As I said, it counts 24 Civ's, so I haven't met Siam's next warrior as yet, I think he's spawned in Russia, you can see a white square on an old city site.

I'll try it out and see if I can advance, I've had this error for the last 3 SVN revisions.

Thanks.

I was able to play with the save, so thanks Maska_zgz, it only had one non fatal error, about a Incan civ and leader, that I had neither the Incan Civ and leader who was replaced with Hyana Capac, who's not in current game anyway.

Played fine, advancing well, oh its my 3rd Civ on a high to low game, just for informations sake. One guess who was my previous 2 Civ's, and order of them.

Spoiler :

1st civ was Ethopia, but no Vassals when I left them.
2nd Civ Was Shaka, I took on Tokugowa as a vassal, as a short cut to getting to 3rd and final civ.

I can't load up SVN 678, it just freezes on finalizing of the map.

I tried to load a new game, but it spat out a lot of Bug error's, and froze up.

SVN 677, loaded fine and played a couple of turns, just had a crash to desktop, not worried about it, will just reload and should be fine.

I hope you get lucky and end your game. I have had no problems for now with the revision 678, but actually I played very little in the last days. However, I'll start a game tomorrow for at least 100-200 turns to see if I have any problems.

I just try it, and it's true. Not sure if have relation to have installed AND 2.1 Mega Civ Pack, but I also happen to me with the latest revision.

Got it, that crash in the Pedia it's caused by Advanced Cargo Mod, I'll fix it in the next release.

I played a game started a few revisions ago (before ACM), updated to r677.
Now I just met a rather annoying bug: I started the game with "Unlimited Wonders". The game shows it is on both at loading and in the settings screen (F8), but the game doesn't let me build more than 4
I'll try tonight updating to r678, but I have doubts it would fix it.

For the nth time (not to you specifically), clear your cache and delete Civilization.ini. When a new gameoption is added (like it's been when ACM was added), if you don't clear your civilizaton.ini, it will screw up your options; if you have 10 options (activated or not) and you add an 11th option in some revision, it's obvious that your options will be screwed up because the game expects 11 of them when in fact there are 10 in the config file. :)

 Sorry, and thx for your patiance.
However I have been searching for the cash but have no idea were can it be under WinXp. I always delete Civilization.ini.

Maybe you should post a sticky thread explaining/reminding how to instal the newer rev.s.

No worries, but it's in the first post of the download thread

[Deleting "Rise of Mankind - A New Dawn" folder inside "Mod" folder and clearing your cache should be enough. If you get errors, try deleting CivilizationIV.ini in your Documents\My Games\Beyond the Sword folder, it should recreate itself when you launch the game again. Just make sure you make a backup copy before deleting this file.]

As for clearing your cache, it depends on your OS. This is the reason why haven't explained in the first post how to clear it; in theory, it should be enough to keep Shift key pressed while you load the game; in practice, I delete those files manually but they're in a hidden system folder which isn't visible if you don't make system folders visible by default, which in turn it's something that should be done only by people who knows what they're doing. :)

On the Cache disabling, you can do it in the CivilizationIV.ini file, disable both python and xml caching, as I've done this. Might be wrong?? :dunno:

2 minor errors, or is it W.A.D. (Wadda wadda wadda)

1st Woodcutters are still available, when Lumbermills are instigated. As they upgrade to lumbermills, I can't see the point, as they are inferrior, in all ways.

Spoiler :

2nd is the Doctors office, it replaces the healers hut with +2:health:, but as your obsoleting the healers hut, you LOSE 1:health:, so your net gain is only +1 :health:.

Spoiler :

Seems a bit pointless to me. You don't get the Full 2:health: your promised on building it, but more is available with civics granted.

Just added a 3rd, Problem with the Open borders civic, you can still see into a rivals capital, even after that rival has been fully eliminated. I.E. I can see into a concurred city of my rival whom I'm at war with.

Spoiler :

If you turn on the Hide Obsolete Worker Actions in the BUG mod, then you won't see Build Woodcutter any more. I can put an Obsolete Tech on Build Woodcutter if you think that will help.

It's always been that way. You get +2 health if you build Doctor's Office in a city that doesn't have a Healer's Hut. Otherwise, you only get +1. I think this is a good thing as it keeps health from getting too out of line. If we don't do things like this, unhealth stops being important.

I don't think Burn Jungle should go obsolete until Iron Working -- you get Chop Forest at Bronze Working, but you don't get Chop Jungle until Iron. I just noticed this when I was going through the build infos file.

This true.

But one thing that has always bugged me; who, when, and why did someone decide that chopping Jungle trees required Iron but all kinds of Forest trees can be chopped with a Bronze axe? Makes absolutely no logical sense to this order. A Jungle tree is not harder than a hardwood forest tree.

Chopping Jungle needs to be Removed from Iron and put on Bronze Working, imho.

On jungles.... Why has the :yuck: from them being near cities been removed? I've noticed that for a long time but never really occurred to me to ask about it until now.

Forests still grant :health: to cities, but :yuck: is gone?

Sorry, a bit late with this one - CTD when loading save. This is the one I got around by loading an earlier autosave (10 minutes earlier, so... maybe 3-4 turns previous?). The game loaded from the autosave continued normally without any options changed so I have no idea what's causing the crash.

SVN build 676, Lakes, Marathon, Huge World, Barbarian World + Raging + Civs + Generals, Revolution, 10UPT, Limited Religions.

Also had a CTD when I attacked a city (last enemy defender, so I would've captured it if they lost), but reloading and repeating the same action worked fine (was a large pop city so it wasn't gonna be auto-razed). Dunno what's up with that either so this is just another anecdote.
