AND2 and SVN Bug Reports - A New Dawn 2 ONLY

If I am not mistaken...
Watertreatment Plant is replacing Aqueduct, so you lose its :health: bonus (+3:yuck:) but get higher bonus from WtPlant (+5:health:)
I think all the rest are similar.

Exactly :)

And the Oil Power Plant[/i] doesn't seem to replace the coal one, so you'd have both running side by side and losing two citizens, hence the reduction in overall production. There's zero benefit to what power plant you choose aside from :yuck: amount and the chance of meltdowns in later era plants. I've never really liked this, how it doesn't matter what plant you choose, but I can't really think of any good suggestions to make each power plant more unique. I do wish though that the Nuclear plant didn't replace the Oil one. Just because I have access to nuclear material doesn't mean I want to risk putting one in my core cities when I could settle for Oil instead ;)

Uh really? IIRC every plant should replace every other one. I'll have to check.

The Coal Power Plant and Oil Power Plant can coexist it seems, but Nuclear and Hydro and Solar do indeed replace all others.

Oh ok, thanks. Is that mentioned in the 'pedia? I must have missed it...

I don't think the espionage-modifier-culture error thing is related to this building-replacement issue though.

Tried to mp again, 3x oos in 25 turns.
Here is the OOS log from both of us.

If you want any other info, or maybe the save or something let me know.

This time we did fresh installs, deleted cache, deleted custom assets, new civ.ini, removed lots of BUG options.

Coal and Oil always have. You may not get either resource, or 1, or both. But with the associated :yuck: rarely would anyone be able to build both in the same city. And as soon as Hydro was research they got replaced asap (to get rid of the :yuck: )

Nuclear and Hydro also Used to co-exist and I hope they still do. BUt from 45*'s reaction I guess not. :(

Right now, Coal and Oil can coexist. Hydro, Nuclear, and Fusion replace Coal/Oil, since it's an upgrade from dirty power to clean. Solar replaces Nuclear as they both provide clean power, but Solar has no meltdown chance, so it is superior in cities that meet the requirements. I don't want Fusion replacing the clean plants because if you play with Hide Replaced Buildings, that would force you to exhaust your supply of Fusion Plants before you could build anything else. I eventually want to create a Geothermal Power Plant that requires Geothermal Energy in city vicinity and would probably replace everything except Fusion Plant.

Sgtslick, I need RandomLogs besides OOS logs; you need to change your both civilization.ini like this

Code:
; Enable the logging system
LoggingEnabled = 1

; Enable synchronization logging
SynchLog = 1

; Overwrite old network and message logs
OverwriteLogs = 0

; Enable rand event logging
RandLog = 1

; Enable message logging
MessageLog = 1

So you will enable logging in the logs folder (make sure you clear that folder before starting a new game). Logs folder is under My Documents\My Games\Beyond the Sword\Logs (at least under Win7): you can access it from a shortcut in the main BTS folder. Also, you might want to download the latest OOS logger that will be included in next revision (courtesy of Alrik2002). It's here attached and you need to unzip it and put it in \Rise of Mankind - A New Dawn\Assets\Python overwriting the old one. This logger will place every log in the aforementioned folder, so OOSLog won't be anymore in the main BTS folder.
I mostly need OOSLogs like the ones you've attached and RandomLogs which will be enabled with the above modifications. Thank you. :)

I'm still suffering random crashes to desktop, I think I've solved the freezing up, it was flying camera being enabled??. I've had it enabled before, and it didnt' cause freezes, but disabled now, and seems to haver stopped (touch wood)

Anyway, has another random crash to desktop, on turn Stonehenge was built, wasn't notified.

attached the 2 Python error files and the 677 dmp file.

SVN 677, Giagantic map, eternity speed.

Zip save as well

Which revision are you using?

@AlfaLeporis & IPEX, I have no problem loading and playing on with your autosaves, but I'm using next revision dll which will be uploaded shortly. Possibly the problem you've encountered has already been solved.

Ok, thanks, I'm waiting for next version :)

EDIT: Oops, I downloaded rev679 but problem with loading autosaves is always actually. Maybe I must reinstall game?
EDIT: Well, I reinstaled game but I always can't load autosaves :(

Did you remember to Patch BtS to the Official 3.19 patch? And Do Noy use the in game Updater it doesn't work right. Get the Patch from this site and add it in manually.

Also besure to clear the Cache when you Load the Mod, especially after a Nwe version is released. Old stored data must be purged or problem will occur.

I installed patch 1.74 to the CivIV and patch 3.19 to the BtS. I think, all is as newest as possible. I downloaded there from external sites.

I installed mod directly after CivIV and BTS without running game first, so I think, in cache wasn't any data.

I use Windows 7, AND downloaded directly from SVN.

Cache remains there even when you uninstall Civ. There are many posts in the forum explaining how to manually delete the cache.

I cleared files in AppData/My Games/BeyondTheSword and Users/Me/My Games/BeyondTheSword. Unfortunately, problem is still actual. But thanks your tip, some of texts in game are in good positions. Previously, some of there were on top of another.

PS. Sorry if my English isn't good, it isn't my native language :(

This should be sufficient, right? About the only thing I don't check is the registry.

Might be a good idea to mention it on the install thread first post too.
