SVN 985 - Cruise missile grouping

Cntl-G doesn't work on Cruise missiles, neither is there a grouping button.

Solution - Enable Cntl-G or grouping button for Cruise missiles, and all missiles units I think, haven't tested, just assume.

NO Cntl-select will group all smart Missiles. As Alt-select will group all Air units

Another thing, can you drop the era display below the gold per turn indicator, I can't see how much gold I make in the modern era at all, and other era's its partly hidden behind this indicator.

Wow, there's a brain fart moment. I never even thought to group CM's, and I've been playing this game forever... Gahhh!

I don't remember ever having a problem with that.
Maybe you could try a different resolution setting? Maybe that's the quickest way to solve it? Just an idea.
 
the button on/off that suppose to avoid getting unhealthy/unhappy citizen, doesn't work. the city keep growing anyway.

This behavior happens with me as well.
 
SVN 985 - Cruise missiles

More on that, they seem only to attack the lead or 1st unit in a stack.

They will only attack this ONE unit, until its dead, then they begin to target the next unit.

I don't know if this is Working As Intended (W.A.I) or not.

Seems strange, as when you attack with your assault troops, the top defender, or healthiest unit will defend 1st, defeating the purpose of bombarding with Cruise missiles.

If you have a stack of 6 Mech infantry defending, starting at strength 60 AFTER a naval bombardment, Yes it does work for Nuclear ships, your Modern Marines are at a disadvantage.

That's using Archer bombard for Naval ships, if you don't have Archer bombard enabled, it won't work.

Seems a game play anomaly.
 
On the Era display problem, I've tried different resolutions, they all have the same problem.

maybe its my Monitor size, its a 22" Dell 16x9. Resolution 1680x1050. My default.

*Edit* Crisis averted, I just removed the era Display from the game clock
 
SVN 985 - F3 Civics button

I've found an error with this.

When you have espionage on a civ, and you can see its Civics listed in the F3 screen, with a drop down selection of their name.

*Edit* that was the Chipolte cheat code, but gives a great modification, if you HAVE enough espionage to see civics, why not include them in a drop down box for the Civics screen.

If you choose a civ, and exit the screen, it will automatically change your civics to that civs civics from what is different to yours.

To stop this, you need to reselect yourself from the drop down list.

Solution - Exiting F3 Screen, without accepting civics changes, civic changes will be cancelled. (if added as feature, make sure this won't happen)

To stop this, you need to reselect yourself from the drop down list.

Solution - Exiting F3 Screen, without accepting civics changes, civic changes will be cancelled.

Solution #2: Turn off cheat mode and you won't have that drop down list ;)

Gunships are able to be loaded onto Landing tank ships, and then they can attack from these landing tank ships, multiple times as movement allows.

To me, this isn't what was intended, and not true in real life.

Solution - Remove ability to load helicopter units onto landing tank ships, or any form of Transport vessel. They should only be able to be loaded upon Super carriers upwards.

@= Sorgoon, Thanks, I only had it on to raise a couple of cities, I couldn't get the Barbs to take, or The Chinese, who had troops stuck on my land mass, so I declared war, and left the 2 cities vacant.

Wouldn't go near them, must have thought it bait for a trap. Sent a lone Infantry towards one city, but it retreated from it.

Ah that's it, ARCHER BOMBARD FOR SHIPS!!!! Major exploit.

Solution - Disable archer bombard for ALL ships....

Why? I see no problem with archers shooting flaming arrows on wooden ships.
Or you meant something else?

Disagree with this. US Navy uses a LHS class that carries tanks, helo's, LCAC's, VSTOL planes, and about 1k US marines, it's classification is that of a light carrier. Additionally, several NATO countries use a VSTOL/Helo carrier class that can accommodate tanks and troops. I'll see if I can find the relevant links from Janes Fighting Ships, and post them. Having a dedicated Helo/Amphib carriers sounds interesting as a unit.

Archer Bombardment for ships, is where SHIPS can bombard units on the coast or cities.

It uses the same button of blue background and arrows.

Its an exploit, as in they Hardly EVER miss. Ok, 1/5 might miss, seems to hit at above 80% to me.

I've just started to use the ranged bombard instead. To me, this is what's intended for Modern shipping. Wooden ships, oar based ones using archer bombard, I can see, but others...NO
 
My problem with the Helicopter on Transports, is that 1 Helicopter = 1 Marine in cargo space.

So I can load 8 Helicopters, attach it to my fleet, sit 2nd tile off the coast, fly over 1 water tile, hit land 2 moves, pillage or attack, and fly back to Transport for 5 moves.

1 Marine, transport has to anchor next to coast, Marine has 1 movement, and is stranded on land once attack is successful.

Granted, attacking a city, either multiple defenders, or raise and fortify on city site, enter with transport, collect the Marine and leave again.

1 for 1 transport spots seems an exploit to me, and does the AI even use it...NO.

Wasn't arguing your issue bro :), merely the unit in question. I also agree that it is a major exploit and can ( and has :mischief:) be abused by the player. I was merely suggesting that a light carrier class would alleviate most of those issues. By all means, keep the issues coming, as I enjoy reviewing them with great interest.
 
I can't load the Gunship Helicopter onto a super carrier, or a fusion carrier.

As well, it won't load the upgrade, Hybrid Gunship.

I can fly them out to the ship, but won't load, either in the cities.

However they WILL load onto Transports, 1 cargo space.

Its been mentioned that it maybe the advanced cargo mod causing the error?? but where and how??

p.s. City is Haithabu in the Middle North of continent on coast, sign says settle next Great General
