I was subjected to Limbaugh over the summer because my superviser listened to it all the time. At one point he said, in response to a poll showing single women supporting Obama more than married women, that of course single women will vote for Obama, since they don't have a man to make them smart.
I truly hate him.

More OT, I think its telling that the regressive right dominates radio so well, but in terms of humor/comedy, the left dominates. Its an interesting division.

Savage, while sometimes funny, is about as rabid an attack dog can get on the radio.

To me, Limbaugh was ok during the Clinton years, but he has mellowed out way too much to be entertaining anymore.

But about the only really angry guy I have ever heard would be Savage. I have heard him utterly flip out on the radio - its just funny as hell.

Conservative talk radio has always been that way just because radio is the wild west of the political media. Listen to Mike Savage or Sean Hannity and once in a while and you hear things they would never get away with on TV.

Hannity is nothing more than a Republican hack, bought & paid for. Savage did get fired from TV. I like Savage because he has his agenda & will call out Republicans or Democrats with equal zest.

Talk radio hosts like Limbaugh are stuck in the culture wars of the 1960's. It's as if they're refighting the battles of Vietnam-era America over and over again. Thank God the Democrats finally moved beyond them.

If the democrats have moved beyond them it's only because they have slimed down the gutter into the sewer.

Savage is so crazy he is interesting to listen to. Hannity and many of the others are just hacks.

Neil Bortz is not bad but he kinda sold out.

Agreed on Savage & Hannity. On the few occasions I have listened to Bortz I've liked him.

Yes, Limbaugh is always better when his party is not in power, it gives him more material to work with. He is very good @ calling out the left but he is silent when the right is wrong.

Most talk-radio is normally listened by blue-collar people who like to be entertained while doing physical labor. It is a way to cope with the mechanization process of monotonous labor. That is why talk radio is stupid.

I was raised on Rush. Talk radio in general (but Rush in particular) is garbage with few to no exceptions. I always thought Rush's fanbase was of the more middle class variety.

True. I was only referring to a certain demographic and various local grassroot talk radio in my locality. I guess the hosts of these local stations can be considered the poor man Rush Limbaugh. There are many of these demons.

Wasn't my intent to give them a free pass. Rush I find amusing, though to be honest he's not been as good as he was when he was on the pain killers. Michael Savage and Mark Levin are pretty hateful at times and I don't really like them. But I saw it a lot more on the left than i did on the right. Perhaps part of that is just perception on my part, but that's how I saw it.
