Same goes for manga.

As a comic creator myself,
I am of the mind that manga/anime may not be to all tastes,
but some of the greatest talents in the world work on these
productions, and it is a extremely hard discipline to master.

Who cares if someone likes anime or not?

I love anime, and I do love some of the kiddy stuff like DBZ. I also like a lot of stuff like Blue Submarine Number Six, ALL of the gundam stuff excepting 'Turn-A-Gundam' (Also called V Gundam), Maccross (The games sucked.), and Outlaw Star (HEY! DON'T DISS OUTLAW STAR!). I also watched Pokemon ONCE (STUPID!), Digimon ONCE (STUPID!), and Escanflowne a couple of times (It was ok, but I stoped watching it for some reason...)....That is about it for me and anime.

At least the Japanese give due respect to cartoons and, most importantly, comic books. In America and England they are still the domain of the 'nerds' unless, like Southpark or The Simpsons, one really captures the popular imagination.

I think that most of anime is very good, just ignore the likes of Dragon Ball, with it's total of 30 frames of animation per half hour.

Comic books also need more respect! 2000ad is NOT Stallone as Judge Dredd!

(Sorry about that, I'm an avid 2000ad fan, and, like all 2000ad fans, hated the Hollywood butchery of one of the greatest comic book characters)

I thought Akira was merely O.K.

Ghost in the Shell, though...now THAT'S what I call an anime.

Tenchi Muyo (uncensored, non-cartoon network version)
Bubblegum Crisis (They're showing it on the Sci-Fi channel, I can see it again!)
Patlabor 1
Ghost in the Shell
Bondage Faries manga (Hentai, but I think its quite funny in a stupid way)


I visit various fan-fiction sites, but www.tmffa.com is the best.

I love anime!!! I always watch it every Saturday at midnight on SCI-FI. Although I can never remember the names of them all... Last week though I watched Black Jack and I think I've seen that one Akira. I also watch the Bubblegum Crisis which is a continous series.
I really love the stuff that has a deep plot, like Gundam Wing. I really wanna' see that one Ninja Scroll and Ghost In The Shell.

I watched Pokemon(or "Pokey-man, as I pronounce it with my west-Texan accent) today. I could only stand to watch it for ten minutes, and I had to cure my-self of the cute stuffed animal images it left in my brain by watching Full Metal Jacket afterwards.
