Anno Domini beta : test it and feed back here!!

The darnest thing happened. The old buildcity -> lose game thing. Why is it happening only in your mod. :hmm:

Aww...I really like my attack anim; I used it last time when I brought out the original mod, so units that were in the original with that attack (e.g. Illyrian raider) have been left in. That said, I've been told about it before; some people like it, others really don't. So, listening to the feedback, I used CamJH's animations when I did the Indian Swordsman the other day (which is in the beta). I plan to do the above swordsman using CamJH's anims as well.

Odin, I might have previewed the Chakra thrower, but other priorities got in the way, so (at least for now), he's not being done.

Still, one has to question the audacity of Stormrage for such an admonishment. Your sword attacks follow through, and there are no "herky-jerky" hesitations or anything of that sort to gripe about. I say your slash animation works just fine. .

That being said, I too have not had much time to run through the mod itself but reviewing all of the new artwork, I am very impressed. The huge array of new buildings simply blows me away. I can tell that running through this latest incarnation of AD is going to be quite an event-level activity.

:goodjob:

Yes!! :D Can't wait to play!!! :D

I'll download right after I finish what I'm downloading now... unfortunately it has about 8.5 GB. :p (it's at 86% already though ;))

I've absolutely no idea - also why isn't it happening to anyone else? Is it anything to do with Civ3Complete? If anyone can help, please post here.

Thanks to everyone else for the positive feedback :) !!

I don't have civ3complete - i have civ3conq 1.22 and every other mod is working. :crazyeye:

I have Civ3 Complete, and I'll see if anything comes up when I load this tonight. Did my pitiful attempt at helping with all those images aid you in any way? Or did they merely clutter up space on your hard drive?

Finally got to downloading it. In the process right now.

I got an error-- File not found- Arts/Units/ Athenean broad swordsman/ Athenean broad swordsman / INI--game will exit. Game is very stable other than that--but i cant continue until its fixed. Great mod so far.

*EDIT*- I looked inside the Arts unit file for Athenean broad Swordsman and saw that all the files were labeled with "Greek Swordsman"- I dont know enough about modding but maybe that will help to correct the error.

While deciding what to research next I noticed that I had already gathered some images for techs that you have included in your tree. So I finished them and here they are:

medicinepreviewgh3.gif

Medicine is from a Medieval treatise in Arabic on making medicines with honey.

indianreligionspreviewis0.jpg

Indian Religions: Two versions of Hinduism (a bas-relief of Ganesha and a Shiva Puja ritual); Buddhism (Buddha resisting Maya while meditating under the Bo tree); Sikhism (the Khanda is their symbol, as a cross is for Christians)

indianmasonryarchitectukj9.gif

Indian Masonry (an 18th century interpretation of a cave temple complex) and Architecture (The Vastu Purushtu is a geometric model for temple construction based on human proportions)

tribalcouncilpreviewdw7.gif

A Hindu version of the Tribal Council Government tech.

I have the Nagara-style mandir in the works now and I'll get right to the Citrasala you requested right after. How soon will you need them? :)

Asap please, Odegei; I can include them in a patch. There is already a citrasala in the mod with a placeholder icon (which I can then use for a Persian building ;) ).

Thanks for the icons, Blue Monkey, though on this work pc, I can't view them due to access restrictions  .

Maybe the settler was set as a king unit? If you play regicide or some other non-standard level and settlers are king units, you loose the game when the settler dies.

Holy ****! That's it!!! But i wanted to play Mass regicide.

Thanks for sorting out that issue - I guess we're even now ;) !

@Blue Monkey - now that I can see those icons - wow. They're superb!

Sorry for the double post - I'd hit "quote" instead of "edit" when I wanted to add to the above post.

This mod looks amazing Rob!

Playing as the Scots :D (closest things to the Irish as I could get ;) )

Just a few wee things first off :) :

It says that the Celtic Spearman actually upgrades to the Spearman in the hyperlink on the civpedia but it replaces it in-game (and in the text in the civpedia)

The word "Barbarian" isn't capitalised, so it look like this:
barbarian Conscript (2/2) Tribesman (1.1.1)

---

I'll add more as I keep testing :D
In fact, i'll make a notepad file of it! And post it all at once :)
