Here is the culture advisor:

Any comments?
I know it's too culture specific for this version of the mod, but it would be really nice to have a version with a tilaka (forehead marks) either the Vishnu worshiper style, or one of the Shiva worshiper styles.

So... when is it going to be released? I mean this new version :D
Maybe tomorrow; I'm still not 100%, so we'll see.

Done!!

Over on the units page, utahjazz7 has done a chakra thrower - so we've now got two of them!! I must figure out where exactly to place them...

I thought Florence was only in for the Beta.. to test it.. But its your call, we`ll play and love it all the same :)
Florence were in as a full civ the moment I saw embryodead's leaderhead. I think it is an outstanding piece of work. Then I realised that Florence could have a great unique gameplay angle...and it went from there really!

Sorry to be a pest, but I meant one of the fancier tilakas - either the three horizontal stripes, two vertical stripes, or a sort of crescent cupping a large red dot. Make this a very low priority - for an India specific biq.

Ok; it will have to be something I bring in later. I actually do think that he looks better than before anyway.

The chakra throwers: I think that I'll use OdintheKing's unit as the "Chakra thrower," available in era one as India's replacement for the bronze age warrior and utahjazz7's unit as the "Elite chakra thrower," replacing the Atheling in era three for Indian civilizations.

Alternative names might be Chakkar Sada Sikh, or Chakarani Sikh (weapon name + Sikh, as an elite warrior).

Sounds great. Actually, I've realised that the Tulwar warrior is in the Atheling's place, so I'll leave him there. I've also realised that the Indians don't have an A3D3M1 unit in era two, which would be normally an upgrade to where the first chakra thrower's going, so it would seem to be the perfect place to put utahjazz7's unit.

Hopefully, Plotinus will be doing okay with his Indian units...

I actually just finished a game as Florence, which was quite interesting. Florence's improvements gave me huge surpluses of gold to spend on research, I was a full era ahead of most of the other civs. Whenever anybody bullied me I just rushed a load of units, with my large gold reserves, and force them to back off. I ended up wining a cultural victory.

Pretty accurate, no? :D

One thing of not: you might want to think about changing the effects of the Medici Bank. Since Florentine Republic already nixes all maintenance costs, what is the point of paying for them again? just a thought.

With all the work Ogedei's been doing, I'm tempted to go Oriental in the next BIQ.

Hmmm, would this include adding more Eastern Asian civs (or actually adding them at all)? Because if it did, I would say that I love the idea already. ;)

Well no offense, but Serbs as a people are older than Croats, Slovenians, Bulgars etc.

Serbs are one of the oldest people in the Balkans. And I've done some research and believe it or not but Croats are a tribe of Serbs. Croatia was formed by King Tomislav who was a Serbian Duke of Dalmatian Croatia or (dux Croatorum) under a rule of Vlastimirovic family. When Bulgars conquered Serbia, Tomislav seized an opportunity and declared an independence and became a first king of Croatia (Rex Croatorum)

So thats why I think all the Croats, Bosnians, Montenegrins and Macedons(FYROM) are my Serbian brothers. Now I know Storm doesn't agree on this, but everyone has an opinion!

That was actually very interesting! Thanks for sharing the information and your outlook Partizanac! With that argument, I can see why adding Serbia as a civ would be legitimate. And besides, it's only one of many .biqs (if I understood Rob correctly), so it it of little harm actually.

Damn! Someone always makes a better one... You're still using mine, too, right?

Thanks for that. I'd made the Florentine Republic negate all maintenance costs a long time after the Medici Bank was incorporated. It's a very valid point; I've now changed the Medici Bank to have +1 trade in every trade producing square and increase the tax output by 50%.

Good stuff. I'm glad you love the idea and I look forward to your insight when I get to that project.

Serbia's actually looking like a really interesting option to choose as a civ. I will be releasing other BIQs in the future.

Wouldn't miss it out for the world. He's earned his place in era one!

Just a note to let you know that I've finished what I was doing to the mod and am currently uploading to 3ddownloads. The file will be available as an expansion to the other file people have already downloaded and weighs in at 78.4MB when compressed to a .RAR file.

Obviously, that's a lot of new stuff....

The changes are as per my earlier note; I'll change the front page of this thread to reflect it. Sadly, it can take a little while for the guys at 3ddownloads to authorise the file, but I'll keep a look-out and let you know when it's available.

The main scenario download file will be upgraded to v1.03 (this latest version) once you guys have had a chance to input any opinions and feedback. There's still some work to do on the civilopedia  , though a lot of effort has gone into this and I hope you'll be impressed with the work I have done. It's a lot more user-friendly than it was before.

Whilst you're having a go at the new version of the mod - you'll notice the changes almost immediately by the way - I'll be starting to revamp the website.

Sounds good! I've been slightly delayed in producing the Golden Warriors (but I have written two articles in three weeks, which I think is pretty good) but I hope to have them done before too long.

Great! I've saved a place for them in the mod ;) !
