Bigger, but not visible. Just from looking at photos you can't know if a black person was born in the USA or in Colombia, if a white person was born in the USA or Argentina, or if an Asian person was born in the USA or Brazil.

Maybe Mexicans can be generally classified as a visible minority, but "hispanics" sure as hell can't.

BTW, I think the USA is pretty near the point where an argument will be judged not by its value, but by the "diversity" of the people making it. Americans sure are in a rush to decadence, how pathetic. This thread would be laughed at anywhere in the world where people still think, in the US somehow it is a worthy topic.

I just know an individual who is uninformed about US political history but considers themselves fair and reasonable because they will call out any statement which seems too outside of the normal discourse irrespective of its accuracy (with which they are of course not familiar)- when I see them.

Also, I'm pretty sure I can't read that since it's a NYT article and I'm not subscribed.

I think it's safe to say most of these protesters are quite crazy, but it is equally crazy to try to draw some point out of their skin color. This thread is not about debating actual ideas, it is about debating the problems of the ethnic make-up of protesters. When someone found a black guy he was immediately called the "token black guy" and it was even implied he was paid to be there.

This thread is proof of how low the United States have sunk in PC idiocy, and how decadent the american society is.

These kinds of threads tend to morph as they progress. It seems this thread was a way to post about the types of people gathered for the "protest" that included a poor joke about the racial makeup of the "protestors" as a tag line/gotcha.

Naturally the more interesting points have to do with discussing the wacko ideas the group presented and the meaning of the group gathering, and gathering in the way it did.

But, since this is the first thread mentioning the event I think, so... this is probably the one that will get developed.

By page 8 the first post won't matter anymore anyway.
