Another All White Protest in DC

It's easy to cry racism huh? That's all the left has been doing. Racism here, racism there, every time someone protests something it's racism.

The reason you don't see more diversified crowds is because something like 90% of blacks approve of Obama, even when they have no clue what he stands for, or even who his vice president was. Voting and approving purely on race:

Or how about Jay Z?

But nooo, that stuff's not racist. Only protests dominated by whites are racist. Only people who disapprove of Obama are racist.

Do I think some of the protesters are racist? Yep. Do I think the majority are? No. But I also think Obama was elected by racists.

You are going to hear more and more "racist" accusations from the left, as it seems to be their favorite defense. Racist this, racist that, everything's racist to them. Cry wolf much?

Wasn't the American Revolution mostly white people?

They were probably rasist too!

Just because we know that it is inherently racist doesn't mean that a protest being almost entirely white makes it so. Okay, yeah, there are underlying racial tensions, but the fact that the protest is comprised almost entirely of white people doesn't serve as proof. It's what they say and do when assembled that determines that, not the ethnicity of the people who happen to be assembled together. By the same token, a bunch of African-Americans assembled to protest against a Bush policy a few years back would be racist just because of who is assembled. Sure, if they started actually bringing ethnicity into arguments, then it is, obviously, racist, but otherwise, it isn't.

YOU LIE !!!
Why do they keeping making this crap up ?

ABC News Was Misquoted on Crowd Size
ABC News Reported D.C. Rally Size in Tens of Thousands, Not 1M to 1.5M as Activist Said.

Conservative activists, who organized a march on the U.S. Capitol today in protest of the Obama administration's health care agenda and government spending, erroneously attributed reports on the size of the crowds to ABC News.

A crowd of people, some carrying signs, are shown during a rally at Freedom Plaza in Washington on Saturday, Sept. 12, 2009. Thousands of protesters have packed streets in the nation's capital to protest what they consider the federal government's out-of-control spending. Collapse

Matt Kibbe, president of FreedomWorks, the group that organized the event, said on stage at the rally that ABC News was reporting that 1 million to 1.5 million people were in attendance.

At no time did ABC News, or its affiliates, report a number anywhere near as large. ABCNews.com reported an approximate figure of 60,000 to 70,000 protesters, attributed to the Washington, D.C., fire department. In its reports, ABC News Radio described the crowd as "tens of thousands."

Brendan Steinhauser, spokesman for FreedomWorks, said he did not know why Kibbe cited ABC News as a source.

As a result of Kibbe's erroneous attribution, several bloggers and commenters repeated the misinformation.

That image is disgusting, no matter what party line you are or what you even thought about Kennedy. Awful

And FWIW, I drove by the Mall yesterday around 5pm. There was a HYUGE black family reunion thing going on that took up most of the mall. Around 300 tea party protestors remained with a band near the Washington Monument.

The signs were, mostly, tastless. Obama as Hitler, Stalin. Bury Healthcare with Kennedy. The usual Obama is a Muslim, wasn't born in Hawaii (I guess a Birther was speaking when I happened by)

terrible. Though, it needs to be pointed out, many of the protestors were LaRouche supporters. Those guys are insane and are not Republicans.

Are the uppity degenerate rednecks complaining again?

note: It's kind of assuming how in terms of appreciating expressed voice, the democrats have become republicans and republicans become democrats as soon as the democrats' man gets into office. And how people don't even realize it.

What's the deal with these insane LaRouche types? Reading about him is like temporarily departing from reality. His supporters make scientologists look well-adjusted.

I am wondering why they weren't protesting during the Bush years, when he was giving bigger government, although not in the same manner as Obama. But for the most part I consider protests to be stupid.

it accomplished virtually nothing. Nobody sitting in the Obama Administration gave a flying crap about it. Media officials went because everybody likes a change to take a few pictures of Larouche guys and other wackos...but not because it is that important of a story. Members of Congress already knew older, white crazy people were upset...this protest wasn't going to change thteir mind.

The Tea Party movement has broken virtually every rule of effective protesting. The protests themselves are unfocused. The Tea Party people are trying to create a general "govt is too big" protest, but anybody on the ground at one of these things sees that it just devolves into a giant Anti Obama-fest, with signs parroting all manner of random arch-conservative causes.

Without that focus, and by allowing themselves to be portrayed as absolutely out to lunch, nobody of consequence is ever going to really care. Again, during the Bush administration, close to a million marched against the Iraq war. That is a *lot* of people...but it was taken over by Pot Smoking, Free Palestine, Chomsky-ites...so everybody wrote it off.

He is a brain surgeon, he's got alot of brainy surgeon stuff to remember. He doesn't have any room for more than 1 side of a political issue! He just always takes the Dems side to keep things simple.

Right Mark?

..

right?

It is not a this side that side argument. It is the history of the US for those with 2 eyes and a brain to learn.

I think more than a few republicans have indeed posted their opinion in regards to that on this very site to render your comment false.

Did you ever vote for Bush or a Republican member of Congress? If so you are not for small government.

Hah, I'm more to the left than you are, I just know a partisan hack when I see one. :)

Also, I'm pretty sure I can't read that since it's a NYT article and I'm not subscribed.

Dont put words in my mouth or misrepresent me. I dont know how many times I gotta say it. I am for small government.

I'm reminded of this definition:

RACIST, n. One who has won an argument with a liberal.

Moderator Action: This thread has really flirted with some subtle racism on its own. I have decided not to issue infractions, but I'll ask that people be a bit more careful

I read about this yesterday in a WSJ article, the comments section there was basically bum rushed by the most ignorant fools imaginable. I guess it turned out that was the group the "protest" was designed for. General anti-Obama sentimentalists and mush-minded people manipulated by radical right-wing radio and TV personalities. The LaRouche personality-cult wackos were in good company.

General idea to appease the "small government" movement: Close the nearly useless department of homeland security because die Heimat was well secured before that funding sink was created, and use the money previously budgeted to it to create some kind of national physicians department, staffed by trained doctors employed by the goverment directly. No more of the willy-nilly "let's pay all the doctors in their existing businesses" reform bills. If the idiots can't tell the difference between those paths then the push might as well be for true nationalized control and a health work force that will help the needy and increase the average American's lifespan by a few decades.
