Are they seriously deleting negative reviews?

Wow.

First they release a pathetic, watered-down joke and now try and silence long-time loyal customers who are upset by it. I've should have known better and stuck with redit anyways.

Good bye for good.

You got me with this cash grab bait and switch title but this is the last. Lifelong civ fan gone for good now.

Could you offer some clarification?

You sound like you'll be right at home with reddit, enjoy and good luck.

I just checked. My (thumbs down) review is still online on Steam. So IDK what OP is on about.

If your review reads like the OP it might have broken guidelines for whatever platform you were reviewing on.

2K and Firaxis more or less nailed this launch. I'm on reddit civ subreddit and another all purpose game forums and the reaction is very positive with complaints over bugs ui and AI (the usual 4x launch stuff) but discussion is cordial and forward looking.

this forum is unique in how many salty relatively inactive posters there are. And I didn't mean to be rude. Just an observation.

This post seems very constructive. Did he ever play the other Civ games or any strategy games? I played them all, CIV 6 is pretty good on release compared to countless other strategy games on release.

The only thing I would give it a big hit compared to a lot of other games is UI they could have spent some more time on it.

For example:

AI, I don't remember a complex strategy game having a good AI on the first release EVER
Balance, Always a lot of problems with complex strategy games
